Leeds in secret talks with DWEIGHT GAYLE RIGHT NOW READ THE LINK BELOW ! Well it was tough to swallow not going up but leeds utd will move on and need injection of money to get the quality players we need for next season , i think even with the mistakes peacock farrell made he should be back in goal and send kiko casillas back to spain for 5 million transfer this will give leeds united some funds to get a quality player or 2 in , such as i would like to see dweight gayle on loan if we can get him he scored 24 goals this season for west brom DWEIGHT GAYLE STATS ON LINK BELOW , he would be banging those goals in for us also we need a couple of good defenders as cooper seems to bottle it under pressure and not sure about baradi anymore , and could do with off loading forshaw who i think is not good enough we would get something for him too, whats your thoughts on who should stay and who should go ? https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sp...ight-gayle-transfer-newcastle-united-16299005 https://www.fctables.com/players/dwight_gayle-230791/
Leeds also in for at least 100 other players sniffy. We’ll end up with ones likely nododys ever heard of yet
We need to move O'Kane, Anita, Sacko, Ekuban, Grot, Cibicki, Bamford, Casilla, Berardi and Clarke (if we can get £10m for him). We need to bring in, someone like Dwight Gayle, O'dowd, Barbet, Maybe Keiren Westwood or Darlow plus Harry Wilson (when derby don't go up), I think we could get some good use out of the u23's for any back up players, plus we need to keep Phillips and Jannson, not sure about Roofe, if he's holding us to ransom he can go, if he just wants a decent increase, then we should pay it.
Agreed, but needing to shift them and being able to and how long it will take without having to heavily subsidise their moves are two different things. All clubs have players equally as good/bad they are trying to move on. Carrots usually have to be dangled to sweeten the deals. Beradi and Clarke being the exceptions as they would be wanted
Based on how we've leaked goals the second half of season, I'd say get rid of, Ayling, doesn't get back after going up, leaves a big hole, leaves a 3 man defence and puts extra pressure on defence during attacks and counter attacks.....Berardi much better and reliable, and he can play both RB, LB, and did a great job playing CB. Phillips, goes missing from time to time, goes awol during games, doesn't cover for either defender, slow getting back, gives up when ball passes him most of time and doesn't seem to know what "attack the defence" means. Loves to pass sideways and backwards for most of games which wastes time and attacking options. Always a yellow card liability, 10 this season, and anyone could've turned into a red.........Will probably leave for money any way. Bamford......say no more. Roofe looks like he's going any way, they can't seem to come to agreement on his contract. While he's done well getting 15 goals, we need someone more vicious like Gayle. 15 goals equates to approx 1 goal per 3 games, not good enough. Don't need Harrison back. After seeing who Bielsa's bringing in, this will give everyone a better idea who's leaving and/or relegated to bench. Some are saying Berardi can go, I believe these are emotional comments based on his recent red card. Some should look at Phillips red card v Forest if they're going to judge. Berardi doesn't leave big holes in defence and puts the lads under pressure, he knows how far to go forward. Not many goals are scored down Berardi's side, left or right, and he's a multi position player, highly valuable in any team. Congrats to Klich for being called up to play for Poland v Macedonia, he won't be up against Alioski as he's injured. Saiz is due back at Leeds as Getalfe won't sign him on a permanent. Personally, I think Saiz is being his own worst enemy, but he chooses Spain. I think there's more to it than meets the eye, it's obvious to everyone, well, almost everyone that the applecart was tipped and things began going wrong after he left. Not so sure Tyler Roberts can step up and replace Saiz.
True we usually let everyone else get the experienced , skillful players that end up getting other teams promoted.
sell casilla and put peacock farrell in goals we would get about 5 milliom for casilla , add 10 million from other dead wood and get dweight gayle , also we need 2 good defenders
clarke needs to be kept but i dont know his condition now after going to hospital he did play but not at the same level , beradi i have always liked with the effort he puts in and hard tackling but he has been injured a long time he did play after but not sure now if he can still do it , if we got 2 good defenders in it might cover it , 2 areas leeds need to be alot stronger on is scoring goals and defending , cooper and casilla messed up in the derby game i cannot understand how that happened , casilla comes out and must be able to see a derby attacker approaching behind cooper he should have told cooper , but saying that cooper must realise without even seeing a derby attacker that one would be onto him quick therefore should have kicked the ball out , i dont like casilla as in these kind of circumstances and normal circumstances he refuses to pick the ball up and i think in this instance casilla should of either said leave the ball and i will kick it out or should have told cooper to kick it out but somehow cooper did what he used to do messed up and casilla was as much to blame .
some good points ! i think whats going on behind the scenes at elland road is that philips will be sold and saiz will come back and try to fill philips place , the money we get for philips will pay for dweight gayle as philips is rated at 20 million by premier league clubs and alot are interested in him southampton even newcastle so it might be a straight swap for dweight gayle . the under 23s players look tasty coming through so alot to look forward to and another exciting season .
We have seen and heard alot of bielsa's attacking policy which is great but what i would like to know is what is bielsa's stratergy on defending ? as attacking continuosly which i like , leaves defence at risk
His philosophy is incredibly simple. He likes having 1 more defender back than the number of opposition strikers. So if they play 1 up front, our 2 cope. If they play 2 up, Phillips drops back as an auxiliary CB. Don't ask me how we defend against a 4-3-3 - I have no idea how that works, or God forbid, a 4-2-4
Yes i think leeds signed him for 3 million and he has played all season in championship so think he should be 5 m and he was at real madrid before i believe
We paid nothing I believe but took on his extravagant wages. As for playing, apart from a great song/chant, I could have done most of what he did. He may have once been worth 5m but not anymore
yes your probably right but we need to get our defence right although it was 3rd best in the championship which is hard to believe but true only 50 goals against as cooper can mess up under pressure , but sheff utd was equal best in defence with middlesbrough on 41 goals against , we definately need more goals to take pressure off the defence
I actually dont like him , when the ball gets passed back to him he refuses to pick it up even under pressure and as for that mix up in the derby game he should have known better , i mean what is a goal keepers advantage ? its that he can pick the ball up yes ? kiko does'nt
Errr if he picked the ball up when it was passed back to him, then he would give away an indirect free kick inside the penalty area, unless I have misunderstood the point you are trying to make ? As for the Derby equaliser, whilst I agree that neither Casilla or Cooper covered themselves in glory with their defending, if Casilla had picked the ball up in that same situation, given that he was outside the penalty area, then he would have been sent off. Of course there were plenty of other things he could have done to improve the situation, but I dont see how picking the ball up there was one of them
I was talking about alot of situations that cassila has been in when inside the box he does not pick the ball up even if an attacker from opposition is approaching he seems to think he is a defender and can dribble with the ball 1 slip and i think it will happen 1 match and the opposition will score because he did not pick the ball up , the derby game mix up with cooper what kiko and cooper could have done is . kiko - 1. told cooper an attacker is behind him leave the ball and i will kick it out 2. not been out there in the first place and waited for cooper to pass the ball back while INSIDE THE GOAL AREA and then picked the ball up ( which he still probably would not have done because he will not pick it up ) 3. told cooper to kick the ball out of play as a derby player is approaching from behind . cooper - 1. could have kicked the ball out knowing by instinct that a derby striker is gaining on him from behind . 2. told kiko to leave the ball as kiko is out of his area and cannot pick it up and that he cooper will kick it out of play . 3. cooper could have NOT PANICKED UNDER PRESSURE LIKE THE OLD COOPER DID AND STILL DOES and told kiko to leave it and kicked it out knowing instinctively a derby striker is right on his heels . These are professional footballers they should know this already ! stupid baffoons they are ! this 1 mistake cost us the game and our chance of being in the play off final as it sparked a derby revival that should of NEVER happened as leeds were clearly the best of the other 3 teams in the play offs
I'm not disagreeing with you about Casilla Sniffer, but I would say the majority of the time he hasnt picked the ball up is because its been passed to him by a defender, so he is unable to. Yes both Cooper and Casilla could have dealt with the situation for the Derby goal a lot better ( I don't think anyone on here disagrees about that) but option number 2 in your reply (which I have highlighted in bold), is not a valid option, if Cooper had passed it back to him, then Casilla would have given a free kick away if he had then picked the ball up. Remember goalkeepers are not able to pick the ball up when passed by a player of their own team, this has been the case since the year after we last won the league title
