Probably why were going after Santon now, we won't be signing a RB. Im a bit disappointed though as I don't really like playing right footed players as left backs! Santon also has seemed to be playing a bit dodgy the last couple of years and even stormed out crying in one of his inter games when mourinho was there!

  4. Can't be arsed to pay attention anymore. We'll most likely buy a few french peasants that will agree to play for 3 coconuts and a packet of cashew nuts a week.

PSV supposedly cancelled the deal. Buckling up and hoping there's a return clause in Tav's loan deal.

How angry will people be if we don't get anyone?

Personally i'll be fuming. We've had 6 months to get a striker, and have known about Jose leaving for the same time really.

  10. Not really, Tavernier has never played a PL game, and it sounds like he's doing well at his club, bagging an assist already and reports of him being one of their top players.

    I'd rather leave him there.

Ive got a feeling we'll definitely get Santon in, and according to the French press the Maiga deal is a cert, as big Derek is currently in France tying the deal up if you believe what you read.

Don't worry he will play right back and Cissochko will be our left back

We have 3 full backs, and Ferguson is not a natural one. If no one comes in I'd be bringint Tav straight back, especially if he can be used as an emergency CB.

I'm already pissed off that we're three games into the season and still haven't sorted this. Like you say we've had months to prepare and we have the financial muscle to make things happen. <screamswithfrustration>

I wouldn't mind getting Van Aanholt back on loan, looked handy when he was here and had a good loan spell with Leicester last season.

A striker is probably going to have to wait, you'll be paying crazy money this late in the window and the players we're being linked with - Carlton Cole, Maiga and Nolan Roux - aren't really any better than what we have. Best is scoring again, Ba did alright yesterday, Obertan and Ben Arfa are attacking threats and we have The Ameobis as well. I'm not happy with the situation, we should have been more decisive earlier in the window, but we can only make the situation worse in the next few days.

The transfer saga according to Sky:

Basically what I'm saying is don't write it off unless the club confirms it to be the case. Just look at how much it's changed already!

we have 7 points from 3 games. if we had 3 points from 3 games we'd be signing nobody. Cashley is not going to pay for nothing. So the next 60 hours are going to be exactly like the last 60, minus a game of football to watch.
