'Cupsets' happen, unfortunately this time it happened to us. It's happened now, dust ourselves off and move on to Arsenal. Fortunately for us, after a bad result we usually bounce right back. Hopefully Reina, Johnson and perhaps Enrique will be back in, not to mention Agger and perhaps Carragher coming in to defence. Ya never know, perhaps Coutinho too Gerrard was superb when he came on, completely changed the game for us, if he carries on in this form we're going to be a very tough team to beat, also after much discussion about his tracking back, notice when he lost the ball he sprinted back and won the ball back. Suarez, 22 goals Now scored more goals than any other Liverpool player by January since Owen Quietly optimistic that we can snatch a win at the Emirates
We should be up for it and needing a reaction, hopefully this will give us a boost against Arsenal but we are normally very **** there.
Boy do we need a reaction. You never know it might be a blessing allowing us to concentrate on the League. Lets just see what happens at Arsenal. I expect a reaction.
I think this result shows where lfc are at, can play some pretty football, but not a clue when the game gets physical or very tight.
Can't say I'm that bothered we're out of the cup, what concerns me more is the way that we lost. It would have been nice to have a run, but I hope that we can keep pushing on in the league and just focus on Europe now. Also agree with 'Its not just a game', a lot of our players need to work on their physicality and balance that side of their game with the skills they have.
I agree. It's not as if we were unlucky to lose. We deserved to be knocked out. This should spark us for Arsenal - expecting a big reaction from the lads.
We really need a win, unfortunately I see us dropping points against opponents that we should be beating even if we turn over Arsenal and City.
I think our performances against the lower sides have improved dramatically over the recent months. Our home form is a lot better and we seem to play with more confidence. The game against Arsenal will suit us better but until Rodgers adds more steal to the team, we will continue to struggle against the more physical sides.
I don't think he will add more physical players but will concentrate on getting the team playing his system at a better level. I suppose we have to dig in and have faith that we will get better.
I think there will be an initial emphasis on improving his plan A but I then expect him to add different options in the future. Patience is key.
I think we will be lucky to get a point. This isn't doom and gloom after yesterday's result, I said it last week!
Arsenal are just as inconsistent as we are and are certainly there for the taking. With Henderson in the midfield and Sturridge in attack, we have more a balanced team.
True but what swings it for me is that it is at the Emirates. We don't exactly boast a superb record there
I will be able to watch the game but will try to offset this with putting soem arsenal defenders in to try and get us the victory.
