I was very impressed by Joe Allen today, looked very comfortable on the ball and he certainly wasn't afraid of a forward pass, he was always in space and used the ball well, encouraging signs from the lad! From what I've seen of Suarez so far this season he looks hungry, he's meggin' people left, right and center and after 18 months of playing in the PL defenders still have no idea how to defend against him Okay, today wasn't that great but without using to many cliches, today we were our own downfall. All we can do is identify the mistakes, dust ourselves off and bounce back against Manchester City, it's not like we're strangers to disappointing openers, right? We have to be patient, and in all honesty we wasn't actually bad today, but with a mixture of bad luck, poor refereeing and unforced errors, well.. It just wasn't our day. Don't lose to much heart lads, we've come back from worse before and we are presented with a challenging run of games to redeem ourselves, their's still a long, long way to go.
