Rangers have made an enquiry about David Goodwillie his current club Dundee United have confirmed. Manager Peter Houston said Rangers have asked the club to name their asking price for the striker, but might have been scared off by the fee, reports STV. The Tangerines star scored 18 goals last season, sparking a January bid from Rangers. The champions have renewed their interest and contacted United chairman Stephen Thompson to discuss a price. Houston said: âThere havenât been any bids for him. âWhat has happened is that Rangers have contacted our chairman, who is on holiday in Florida, and asked our valuation of the player. âOur chairman has told Rangers what our valuation of the player is. At the moment I think itâs too expensive for Rangers so we wait and see what happens there. But they havenât made any bid, they asked the valuation. âYou really can only talk about it when money is put on the table and, if they do, itâs up to our chairman to decide if it is enough to take Goodwillie to Rangers.â Goodwillie is also thought to be of interest to teams in England, including at least one Premier League side. Houston said he expects the player to move on if a bid that meets the club's expectations is received.
Really hope we get him could score for fun. Conway set for a move to cardiff he would have been a decent player for us allowing davis into the middle of the park.
