This lad has to be given a chance this year... **** me can he motor. From the video I'd say it looks like his end product needs work but judging from his goals tally at the back end of last season he may have improved as the year went on...
He sure likes to curl those shots from both sides! Mind some of that defending was Sunday League. He deserves his chance though, and if Eggnog thinks he's ready, I hope he'll get it!
We could potentially have loads of pace in our team with him and Adams on the right and PVA and Lens on the left!
Probably a good showcase of his current strengths and weaknesses. Shooting looks average and doesn't generate much power, possible tendency to get over excited at the crucial moment. However, he's clearly very fast and appears to be two footed which is a nightmare for defenders. He looks unpredictable (in a good way) and seems capable of getting his head up, avoiding the headless chicken on speed syndrome of so many players. And we know from interviews that he's got an excellent attitude and is probably quite intelligent which wouldn't exactly go amiss if it translates to good decision making on the pitch. I believe he's studying business management concurrently with his football career, I can't imagine Wickham doing that, or Johnson, or Fletcher, or....
Agreed, his end product needs work but he wins balls that he should never win. and gets into scoring positions, the end product will come eventually.
Soon as I read it back I noticed the blatant innuendo, can't believe I didn't realise as I was writing it. His shooting might be weak now but I'm sure he'll come good eventually.
Could it be with Watmore and Lens up front...."pace the final frontier"? Sunderland forward line "gone where no men have gone before"....... These two lads up front I'm going to get a new tv....the one I have is a bit slow to catch these two lads...pace up front just cannot get my head around that one.We trying to take the EPL serious now? I'm just hoping Fletch and Whickham will see Lens and think, "**** this, I'm off" and hand in a transfer request!
If we can move two out of the three Wickham, Fletcher or Graham I would go with that and bring in even more pace....
I've been one of Duncan's biggest fans but he needs time, he's ready to step up but still mile from being the finished article. Think we'll still have more incomings yet.
