Bad enough losing away at Stevenage but to lose at home to Yeovil who are looking at relegation from league two at present is more than demoralising.

Where has the flair gone, the attacking skill, the ability of the players to keep going, to dig out at the end?

JE's hairdryer treatment obviously didn't work and his comments about over achievement have come home to roost.

Penalties.......Rory Donnelly misses. (i'd have put money on him to have scored...)

All going wrong at present and the wholesale changes promised........well there aren't enough players on the books to have effected the changes JE envisaged. So it will be the same team on Saturday......bring on Bury. :-(

A couple of weeks ago there was a public spat on the pitch between two of our players, is there trouble in paradise.
We have started to play like strangers, early season the players were operating as a tight unit working and running for each other, now we are playing like a Sunday pub team who can't wait for the game to end and the bar to open.
The goal last night at least ended a run of 7 straight goals conceded without reply, unfortunately this was small comfort after another sub-standard performance. Only 7 shots total against a relegation threatened league 2 side with 5 of those coming in the last 10 minutes, come on JE you promised change so let's see some.

Grumpy....we don't have the depth of talent within the squad to make wholesale changes. We have good numbers in defence but as for 'quality' midfielders and certainly forwards definitely not.

Golden boots Donnelly's penalty miss was not expected, especially when other, less specialised, players scored.

A very bad two games from which we have to move on from or the season will be lost.

Very disappointing to crash out of our last two cup competitions in November, but let's hope lessons are learnt and we can return to winning ways in the league. Could end up being a blessing in disguise if we are still top 6 come April time, and other teams have fixture congestion to deal with.

I think we have enough talent to avoid 2 straight defeats against relegation threatened league 2 sides if managed properly.

This idea of playing a midfield diamond needs dropping unless the players can cope with the pressure teams put our wings under, my own thoughts are:-

    Morris.
    Jackson, Lennon, Oshiwhatsit, Garmston,
    McGlashan, Wright, Dack, Hesenthaler, Dickenson.
Any one of the 3 available strikers.

Yes Grumpy, we SHOULD have. However methinks something else has come unravelled behind closed doors as you have mentioned.....
