I remember when Ben Burgess was out injured for the season and hadnt played for months yet some national press had him scoring for us in a match report yet at the bottom of the report he wasnt listed in the team or subs, it was actually Parkin who scored.
This is exactly the case in point when Ive argued with people about Jimmy's contribution. I dont recall the poster, or even if it was this board, but someone quoted press articles aplenty where Jimmy was named MotM. So what? Ive seen how the national press watch City from the press box ie they dont.
It's not just the national press, I remember Fieldhouse once gave MOTM to Dawson purely on the basis of the pass he played through for a goal.
