The coup de grace to Powell was justifiably administered after the infamous FA Cup Quarter Final ...humiliated against lower league opposition when we took over 5,000 to Bramall Lane.

 

a loss is fine. but you have to remember the scenario - he was forced to choose the network players. i think anything on SCP's record once RD took over should be ignored.

 

I thought SCP refused to play Driesen's Wonders? Which reminds me of another way Roland has tried to rewrite history. He claims that Jose Riga kept us up by playing the Driesen Boys, but in fact he refused to play them as well, probably why he was sacked.

 

@Royston Vasey does post a lot of cobblers, this board do realise this.

However, I am in agreement with Kojak that Powell was always going to go, I witnessed some awful displays, the Doncaster 3-0 midweek mauling in particular.

Powell was a dead man walking immediately Dushitelet took over. Once we got knocked out the cup he was always on his way, Powell admitted to this in a subsequent interview.

 

The sad part of this is that we have had to hear Roland muttering that he may have mad the odd mistake here and there (though obviously nothing compared to the disasters wreaked by the fans) yet Powell got the push for not playing Dreisens misfits. Yet we recently heard Dreisen is still very much involved in players in and out, and new signings must be approved by him. So much for learning from mistakes.

 

It's been all bulls*** coming out of the club since January 2014.

They have not made any sense in buying us, what has been their objective.
