With Mrs Godders unlucky coat sent off to be dry cleaned and therefore missing/causing the victory today, rumours have been murmured that the dry cleaners trade union are demanding better conditions for dry cleaners in the Hampshire area. Spokesman for the TUDC, Saint Godders, has just released this statement...'until dry cleaners are given a wage which truly reflects the importance of their work to the community, which should be on par with premiership footballers, then all clothes currently in all Hampshire stores should be held back from their owners...a further statement will be made late Tuesday evening' Great news for us Saints fans!!!
I clicked on this ten seconds before Pompey scored! Woohoo for Sketchley's Hooray for Tetrachloroethylene!
You will be pleased to know that I have conveniently lost the receipt and when I told the very lovely Mrs Godders she said that the cleaners would no doubt let me have the coat without the ticket. My response was that that would only work if I could remember which cleaners I took it to and I had completely forgotten which one. You must also not forget the power of prayer and today I have been left very humbled. I have also realised from now on I have to be on my best behaviour and that is going to be more than a little difficult.
