@Typical_Juan you're a twat - did you and your mate start this rumour? http://www.sunderlandecho.com/sport...defender-linked-with-january-moves-1-7556742? Sunderland have been linked with January transfer moves for a couple of London-based players today. The Black Cats, along with Newcastle and West Brom, are mooted to be keeping tabs on Spurs winger Andros Townsend after the England international's fall-out at White Hart Lane. Townsend was involved in an altercation with Spurs fitness coach Nathan Gardiner after their win over Aston Villa on Monday night, and has been training with the club's Under-21s. Sunderland have also been linked with ex-loanee Nedum Onuoha, as a potential solution to their defensive woes. Onuoha - who enjoyed a successful season-long spell at the Stadium of Light in 2010-11 - has made 15 Championship appearances for QPR after suffering relegation with the Loftus Road outfit. Sunderland's defence is a major headache for Black Cats boss Sam Allardyce though after last weekend's 6-2 rout at Everton took their tally of goals conceded to 25 in just 11 games. Allardyce says it took him two days to recover from the sight of Sunderland's second half display at Goodison Park and never wants to concede six goals again. ------------------------------------------------------ Nedum was decent for us but chased the £££ instead of the football - and I think you all know my thoughts on An-dross Tossend!
Nedum was good for us mate indeed. Although in saying that why pick up a bloke who's been playing down a division?
Funnily enough, there's a Wyngate Road about 3 roads away from my house and a Wingate Drive not far from where I used to live
Nad was good for us but ****ing awful for QPR, I'd be concerned we've **** all to spend. Don't see the point of Townsend as we have Watmore.
IMHO I think Ned is better than what we have as defenders currently (thats not saying much), but 'Dross' is not better than our existing wide men.
Onuoha is as shaky as what we currently have. We need to buy actual, noticeable improvements. Not the same old ****e in a different person.
He must have gone downhill in the last couple of seasons. I remember him putting in some good shifts for us a few years back. Scored a cracking goal as well, as I recall.
He was decent enough I'd suggest but I don't think he's moved forward. If anything he's gone backwards. Like most of the QPR team.
No to either for me. Townsend is alright but we have plenty of options for his position already. We need quality defenders desperately.
