Is it now time to drop Willock? Seems totally uninterested.

Great time to come by and reply. Do you want to drop him?

Apart from the 2 goals today, he has looked **** in the majority of games he's played.

Ironically Willock was showing signs of life just before he was hooked. Lowe making a positive impact is good for us clearly but it's going to hopefully give Willy and Co. a kick up the arse.

Personally I would bench him. Offers nothing off the ball which is a reason why nobody has bought him. A complete luxury in any team. Nobody can doubt his class when he's on form but he's not on it at the moment. As for Roberts, I know first hand what he's all about and also know where he needs to improve. He's not been very good for us but saying that, I don't think he's been any worse than the majority of our permanent players.

I'm guessing he knows there's something in the pipeline for him to move.

Sadly this has to be it.

Would be odd if he's not putting in a shift otherwise, as he'd be trying to earn a big move.

Don't agree with that, I think it's totally psychological and he's afraid of getting the same injury again if he really opens up into sprinting mode. It's like he's afraid to take players on and dribble past them just incase it reoccurs. With Lowe now available I think he may well get dropped to the bench but ultimately we should have a qualified psychologist talking to him. We need the real Willock back asap !

I'm not sure about that, looks more of a confidence/psychological issue to me. Surely there'd have been something in the rumour mill by now.

Who would take a punt on a player who seems to be becoming a sick note?...

A benching is likely if we have another player incoming. I agree that its probably a mindset ‘thing’ that he has to overcome.

Drop him to the bench and let him know he needs to bring back his off-the-ball work into his game. He was pushing Ilias to be better early in the season, now he’s just putting more pressure on him by not doing his share off the ball

“He brings a calmness so when you give him the ball he generally keeps it and makes the right types of decisions which is something we can be guilty of not doing, as we showed in the first half.”

Wondered if this comment from NC about Lowe was also a subtle dig (intended or not) at Chair and Willock.

Thought Chair was great yesterday. Not everything came off but he carried the team nearly single-handedly for most of the game while the others looked not arsed.

Roberts has to be given a chance in the next game as does Lowe so Willock should be the one to miss out. I’d go two up top and be a bit more direct.

The decision making bit is Chair's biggest problem. If he starts getting more right he could be playing in a team in the lower ranges of the PL - us for example if we managed that before he moves on.

Willock probably still needs to get his confidence in his hamstrings back, plus he looks to need to rebuild that body strength he built up during his first season here under Warburton.
