Drop your most valuable asset? I don't think so.

Drop the best player on the pitch last Wednesday/ NO!

On the basis of the Sunderland win you should be arguing that we should play exactly that team. However, we can't.

Perhaps you should say that the difference is that Fer hasn't played since that game. I'm having problems sugesting that as that was the first match he has played well.

It's an idea that HR may have come up with, but thankfully Ramsey won't consider it!
I wouldn't I could name half a dozen Arsenal players who looked better than Austin on Wednesday, and they only tried for 30 minutes. And Yun was excellent. I wouldn't drop Charlie though.

CR will drop anyone for the team
But as Austin is defending from the front and doing a brilliant job then of course this is pure bollocks
We have a brilliant squad let him choose and you won't see Austin dropped at the moment

Fickle we have a time frame now to get as many points as well as build a solid team wise up

I know. It's almost unsayable isn't it? But the reality is we've got to try something radical to halt this inevitable slide into the Championship. Our best and most impressive performance for months was at Sunderland, without Charlie. So does anyone else think it might be worth adopting a more dynamic approach without him, with the option of deploying him from the bench for the last 20 minutes?
Thought not.
if fer was fit playing number 10 role u may have a point , again fer , another player wasted playing out of position . fer knows where the goal is , we have lacked goals from midfield badly

I empathise with the OP in as much as Austin offers little as a lone front man who's main trick is to shoot on sight due to being devoid of pace and skill, he is indisputably a finisher, thing is he's rarely quick enough to get on the end of sharp balls into the box.
On the other side, it is herecy to even think of dropping someone who sits third in the scoring list with only Costa and Aguero ahead. I'm struggling here as we all know in our heart of hearts we are down with the squad available to us (and we can never blame Austin) but, we do have to try something, many of us are convinced that somewhere Vargas, Isla and Taraabt hold the key to redemption.
How CR can work it out, God only knows. Remember that the OP is not writing off Austin, just how can we maximise him, the blame for all this will always lie with HR and TF.
This Premiership is so ****e it's unbelievable - the worst value for money on record and we couldn't stay up.
TF and co better start getting used to producing exotic financial results in order to keep them in denial.
Repeated idiocy will always and thankfully result in the poor house, I look forward to reading about Barton's bankruptcy in the Times!!!!!!!!!!!

So yes, start with Vargas and Zarate in a 3-1-2-3-1

Bloody iPad won't let me write my team - screw it

For me, the win at Sunderland had nothing to do with the fact that Charlie wasn't playing and everything to do with the way we set up. That game we played 4-2-3-1 and the three behind BZ interchanged positions and got up in attack and supported BZ. As previously mentioned, Fer was excellent in that game and we really miss him imo.
The whole reason I was pissed off with Ramsey's selections on Wednesday was because he went back to 4-4-2 and hoof ball. We should play 4-2-3-1 with Charlie as the one. He isn't good as a lone striker in a genuine 4-5-1, but as long as the three behind him do what was done at Sunderland, I believe he'll be fine in that role. Without Taarabt to play in the No10 role, then I'd give Vargas a go there. Not a traditional No10, but an excellent footballer imo and he knows where the goal is. Unfortunately it seems as though CR doesn't rate him!

Drop Charlie?.................................No!! Drop 4-4-2 hoof ball?........................definitely!!
Agree about the formation and the 3 needing to interchange and get close to Austin. A fit Adel would be a shoe in for me, but while he isn't I'd like to see Phillips, Krancjar and Zarate given a go there. Vargas is another option.

We need 36 points IMO that means four wins and two draws. I would say Everton, Newcastle, Villa and Leicester are best bets, draws at Palace and West Brom. Vital to beat Villa and Leicester though...

All I can say is I'm glad you're not manager. No offence.

But Ramsey should try some different combinations. In the final 30 or 20 mins of a game, he could be changing Bobby Z for other strikers in the team to see what chemistry they can develop with Charlie. In my opinion, Zarate has done more than enough to get a look in.
