I've recently moved to High Wycombe and have found it so easy to get to Wembley. If you're going to the FA Cup Final (sounds brill eh!) and thinking of staying over it couldn't be easier traveling from here, there is a high speed train that only stops at Wembley and takes just 19 minutes at a cost of £13.50 return, there is ample parking if you're prepared to walk 10 minutes into town or park for around £5-6 for the day in the multistory, round the corner from station. Also most people don't take this train as most go into London so you should get on in the first attempt, there's 3 trains an hour, but only 1 is the fast one, other take 30+mins.
High Wycombe is a cheap enough place for Hotels and if you're hungry there's a delivery Indian called Dansak Zone (doing 20% through justeat.com) and it's well nice.

    UTT!

    EDIT:
If you're not going to stay over then Gerrards Cross, South Ruislip are options too.

An alternative is Watford Junction, we tried that for the first time on Sunday, 5 minutes from the M1, cheap parking at the station, the train is about £10, (cheaper with a travel card) and takes about 20 minutes to get to Wembley Central.

Would recommend it, we'll be doing it again for the final.

    Yeah, that's what we did.

Though for the final I think we'll likely be staying in London.

We parked in Harrow. No one there. Three stops on tube. Fifteen minutes and we were on the M1.

If you're travelling from the NW, I've booked return train tickets from Crewe today (Sat/Sun) for £19. Get them whilst they're cheap.

Well I'm sorted as booked on the 25th March, staying in the Novotel Olympic Way 2 nights for £79.00 10min from Wembley B&B, also train sorted for £41.50 return. I think that's a cracking deal but must admit was worried at half-time in Wembley on Sunday. Certainly glad I took the chance now. UTT.

I used to live in Northwood so went and parked there. It is on the Met line and took 15 mins on the tube, parking was free on Sunday. There and Moor Park station have easy parking and close to the M1.
