    I hope the **** not.
This would completely remove the joy of driving.

I wish cars would just go back to basics with fewer gadgets and tech, and a situation where it is just me, the car and the open road. That is how it should be.

You ******, you sound like Jeremy Clarkson <doh>

Driverless cars can remove all human errors from driving, which account for nearly all of them, and it means you could be pissed and not risk anyone's life. It's a ****ing awesome idea, that'll save lives and **** all the morons like you that 'love their cars' <doh>

So would teaching them how to drive properly and educating them about the importance of adapting their driving style to the conditions.

Also, anyone who gets in a car and drives while pissed is an idiot who should not be allowed to drive.

Who will be programming these cars? People. If a mistake is made in the production of driverless cars the cost could be musch higher than one driver who makes a mistake.

They will be tested so much that there will be no room for mistakes. These are designed for driving round cities and on motorways, not for ****ey little irish roads. Do you really think Google would release them for the public if they weren't ready? The technology is there, and it's great, so the sooner all cars are replaced the better <ok>

I'm not going to start on the fuel consumption help too, basically humans are **** at driving <ok>

Why don't they make cars out of the black boxes in planes.

Obviously they would have to be a bit bigger with wheels and stuff.

Yeah, because programmers and testers never make mistakes <doh>

I don't know of any software that is without bugs and bugs in a driverless car can cost lives.

Have you read the article? They had NO MISTAKES when driving around in testing, the only incident was when someone drove into one of their cars (<doh>). There's a big difference in software developers at a ****ty level making mistakes and the people that design software that could cost lives (like airplane software).

I'd trust one of those cars much more than you <ok>

That just means it hasn't been tested fully enough.

Do you really hate driving so much that you want it automated?

It's not that I hate driving, I just hate ****s killing people with dangerous driving, not being able to drive if you've had a drink, soon if you've had a spliff too, people wasting petrol, people texting whilst driving, etc...

You have no idea how many problems it will solve, they can park themselves, no more thick ****s blocking lanes of traffic for ages,...
