I'd be happier with Asensio than anyone else we've been linked with. Bullshit though

    Oh completely.

it's no coincidence that hazard was unveiled to massive crowd yesterday and the player and agent will want attention. I'm sure rehashing a link makes sure people don't forget he exists at real.

It does add perspective. That was roughly double the average wage back then. I lived near a couple of the Everton league winning side in the mid 80’s, they lived in nice suburban homes, with a club car on the drive but they were still ‘normal’ & not the multi millionaire cosseted employees that they are today.

Spoke to my mate in Madrid last night, he’s connected to the club through family - apparently Zidane is hell bent on getting Pogba.

Imagine a team with Hazard and Pogba in it. They’d better get some young legs in too as they’ll be covering for 2 lazy arses!

Itll be fine as Madrid will play to their strengths. Much like when ronaldo was there he had no defensive responsibilities they’ll do the same with hazard and pogba probably. Let them go and attack and have defensive players to cover them. Let’s be honest most Spanish teams don’t rewlly dominate possession and force Madrid to run around a lot so

De Ligt is 19 and will Develop massively playing with the PSG squad...also CL every season. He'll also develop a winning mentality.

Great move for him imo, he has 15 years of top level football ahead of him so he'll have plenty of opportunities should he fancy a change.
You simply don't turn down 350k a week for 5 years, let's not kid ourselves ffs <laugh>

    Double Bid Rejected
Liverpool have rejected a double loan bid from Leeds United for attacking duo Ryan Kent and Harry Wilson according toFootball Insider.
Kent, 22, was named Scottish Young Player of the Season in the SPL after scoring six times for Steven Gerrard’s Rangers.
Wilson, meanwhile, shone on loan at Derby County in the Championship last season as his 15 goals helped the Rams to the play-off final.
Marco Bielsa is said to have launched a raid for the pair this summer but Insider believe the approach was knocked back.
Liverpool, Wilson and Kent all prefer permanent deals, the report claims.
The Welshman is valued at £25m while Kent could make the club up to £12m.

    We want to sell kent?

Wilson apparently klopp wants to "look" at which means loan out near end of window.

Anyone know if the loan window aligns now with transfer window or if there is still a longer loan window?

plus they would have needed to get jobs once their playing career ended. When i was a lad my milkman was a league winner and England international.

    In the end lads.....

you can name your professions where the mere.mortal.is a tiny speck below them now.
.executives earning 100x average salaries etc.

footballers are just one example of this.

Perhaps... But it's easy to say that when someone isnt currently offering you £150k more a week than you're currently earning.

I wouldn't take a job offering me more in my current life, never mind a fantasy one.

I find the "it's a short career" argument pathetic tbh. They're going to end their career as a multi-millionaire regardless.

But then, I'm not money driven at all. I do love football though.

And I'm sure if Delight wasn't making a tonne of money and being offered three times the wage one place as another he'd say and think the same thing.

Yep, because that's the same thing <doh>

You suggested everyone would do the same, I was pointing out that I wouldn't. I know others in my position would act different, that is obvious.

However, a footballer making a decision on his next career move based on getting £350k per work instead of £200k per week is a clear mercenary. At nineteen, he should be making career decisions, not financial ones.

He's already beyond ever having money worries again!!!

And a worker in Balgladesh would think accepting £100k a year instead of £50k a year is absurd, they both sound ridiculous amounts. It's all about perspective and human psychology. I don't disagree that you think it wouldn't make a difference to you, I suspect if you were in his shoes you'd be more tempted than you think.

Rich people don't see themselves as rich, they see others making even more money and affording things that even they can't afford and they want more.

You or I may not see the difference between £100k a week and £250k or even £350k a week, it seems equally ludicrous because it's hard to imagine that much money... And compared to our lifestyles it is. The inability to comprehend large sums or money is why so many lottery winners end up bankrupt. I recall one story from California where a homeless man won $10k and to him that seemed like a huge amount he could never spend.... A few months later after buying bicycles for all his friends and living the high life with drugs and booze and he was on the street again.

That $10k to him looked like the £100k a week looks like to you. It's hard to judge scales of economy which are above what you are used to living with.

How is PSG not a good career move anyway? Guaranteed trophies and exposure to top coaches and facilities. It's not like he's going to suffer going there. It is a very good place to move.

I'm sure he'll be truly tested in games mate, clearly a great development move <doh>

May as well stayed in Holland (ignoring his money motivation of course).

He'd have been better off going to Italy, that's a **** league too but several levels above France at least.

I've thought the amounts players get to be obscene for many years. But fans trying to justify it? **** me <doh>

I'd rather the players get it than owners. And I've no real issue with players getting as much as they can. Just don't make a career move based on money, make the decision BEFORE discussing money!
