all that means is we think we can make money off him.

I don't know if we think he'd good enough to ever play for us, but it does say someone might pay 1 or 2 mil for him as a player.

He is a left back can be better than Moremo .We are short of personnel in this area.

    Anyone is better than alberto.

He's decent but like.... we do play him right midfield in youths as well <laugh>

The lad is half decent but i'm not going to say he's near the first team. Lads like curtis jones and harry wilson and now a couple of good youth forwards stand out far more for me.

He's good, he can take a set piece, he's basically not as good as taa and thats the the rub. Great to see him get his deal sure but is don't expect next july to be seeing him as no 2 left full and pushing robertson. He has time. He had a few injuries i recall so he's got some time to develop and he could do so..

To be fair, I'm not, it's close but Moreno just pips me. I'm too old now and my knees wouldn't last 90 mins of hard running.

That just mean you'd stay in position though, which is more that Moreno can do

    See above.

    half decent.

    not as good as taa.

    we have played.him at right.midfield in u23s.

    has had his injuries too.

for me he needs a toughening up loan.

the issue for me is now we are good we are failing to expose players to the market.

brad Smith is a great example. played a few is good position of almost left midfield and convinced Bournemouth to part with 6mil... this kid needs game time to expose him to the market.

Camacho v wolves. my god.. did he think we played up front. looked like you could never trust him again... Curtis Jones. one game and gone. He needs to be on our bench and getting 10 mins here and there

anyway... Adam Lewis can take a set piece, hes decent enough but imo won't compete with Robertson.

Don't you think that scouts for "lesser" clubs would generally be on the look-out for decent up and coming players at clubs with academies like ours? Clubs that can't compete for the big name signings can get some pretty decent players that way.
Ok, if we give them a bit more exposure we might get a bit more dosh, but we can't afford to risk games on being a showcase for unproven potential.

    yes and no.

Yes they look. no they don't pay us anything

You want to get 3 or 4 ml out of a kid to really make an academy pay off.

Like.... we took bobby duncan out of city. Dortmund took sancho. Bayern really wanted odoi. Diaz went to real. These players are in relatively high demand but the reality is our lot... well theres not a queue. We need ot show them off and convince a club they can do something for them.

While we struggled on the pitch jordan ibe and brad smith got exposure and that convinced howe to make offers. People big up a certain **** so called technical director at or club and lump all the creidt on him when a deal comes off but the reality is the kids need chances and to take the chances to look good and tempt an offer.

    right now

TAA had taken a big chance with us cos clyne was injured
GOmez has forced his way into CB this year after sharing that RB slot.

thats great, exactly what we need.

But.... this year we don't have a gap par se. We loaned out wilson who is now worth about 15-20mil. we have jones who's decent and i called him out for 2 years or so, no chances to come in for curtis. Same for a few others.

For me we have to push these kids on. Its not a risk of a game to bring one in and kick him on a wee bit.

We've i think seens subs go from 1 to 2 to 3 to 5 man benches and now 7 and there STILL no room for a kid.

the more resources that can be applied by big clubs the more they apply and the bigger squads get and the more the reliance in it there is... the less chances.

For me..... I look at chesea and know full well they have about 4 really really really good young players who'd possible improve thier first team or at least shake it up. Odoi, ampadu, cheek and then abraham maybe.

I look at city. they used league cup decently but diaz decided to shag off, foden gets a few minutes but not enough. nmecha as well...

Look at morrison at leicester.... some of thes guys just need the chance.

    Our best youth today:

Lewis... he's the subject of this discussion. not at the level of those above
Jones. he looks really really good at youth level but needs his chance
Kane - he is on loan i sincerely doubt he will make it for us
Tagseth. we signed gim at 15? hes pretty decent.
Camacho. played at RB... he's not a RB and never will be.
    Brewster. injured for a year
Duncan. just got him.. really really interesting
Glatzel... had been injure dbut having a really breakout year in u18s.

I look at that list and only Jones could be close to the senior bench. I'd like us to use him.

Whats going on at Chelsea. Transfer ban now.

And Sarri comes out saying Hudson-Odoi will only be a regular if they sell a winger as already have hazard, Pedro and Willian.... well it’s a good job they didn’t spend 60m on another one in January to join in the summer then <laugh>

    I'd forgotten that.

pedro is 34 and willian is 30.

Odoi has been basically messed about a bit by sarri but its not as much as one would think gvie nthe big transfer request. I think the lad is a bit of an ego TBH.

Pulisic I'd even forgotten about TBH.

So RB/LB someone who can play both and provide good cover for Robertson and Trent
Striker to fight for starting position, probably someone who can play across the front, Werner?

Thats the two biggest signings for me this summer, desperate need.

    Players leaving:
    Lallana, Origi, Sturridge, Moreno, Milner?

Which makes me think we even need another striker/wide player and another midfielder.

Liverpool FC will back Jurgen Klopp in the summer transfer, according to the club’s managing director Billy Hogan.
The Reds have impressed in the Premier League this season after Klopp made some significant improvements to his squad last summer.

Liverpool FC recruited Fabinho in a £39m deal from AS Monaco before Xherdan Shaqiri swapped Stoke for Anfield in a cut-price £13.5m transfer.

Manchester United have made contact with the agent of midfielder Bruno Fernandes about a possible mover this summer, according to A Bola.

That means the Red Devils will be be directly competing with rivals Liverpool for the player's signature, after the 24-year-old was linked with a move to Anfield last week.

The attacking midfielder has scored 22 goals in all competitions for Sporting CP in what has so far been an exceptional season.

The Lisbon side could be keen to cash in on their captain given that they face financial uncertainty off the field, and he is reported to have a release clause of £90m. That fee, however, could scare off any potential suitors.

Agreed, Klopp wanted him and things didn't work out, so I am sure he still believes there is a hole to fill.
