Can was a decent player, but like so many young-ish players, not as good as he himself thought he was. He was never mobile enough for me, and got caught in possession too much and didn't have the necessary skill to turn that to his advantage like some are able to. He, or more likely his agent, tried to dictate terms that the club weren't prepared to agree to, so he had to go. I don't think we're much the poorer for his absence.
i dont think we are any really. bar we needed to spend 42mil buying fabinho. we could have taken 20mil for can and offset that but would we have got top 4 or do final last year.. who knows.
Klopp Has Decided on His Number One Transfer Target for the Summer Jurgen Klopp is apparently eyeing Barcelona winger Malcom as his priority signing this summer, according to a report from French publication Le10Sport via TeamTalk this afternoon. http://www.anfieldedition.uk/2019/0...winger-malcom-a-priority-signing-this-summer/
Via teamtalk is one lol. The next headline to come out of this will probably be swap deal and cash for salah ffs
You beat me to it !.Unfortunately Barcelona have an undertaking not to buy Liverpool players in the next two years.
imo 1. French paper... so French paper knows more than locals about a German manager of an English club's intent. 2. subject is a player who needs to attract attention cos he has flopped. 3. player have been linked to several clubs in past year. 4. it's Barca 5. as you said team talk. 6. the lovely phrase apparently.
Liverpool’s exciting young striker Paul Glatzel has signed his first professional contract with his boyhood club. The U18’s captain has put pen to paper, with Liverpool bosses rewarding the youngster’s hard work this season. Milan Skriniar is the ideal partner for Van Dijk that Liverpool need Skriniar, (who is valued at £54 million on Transfermarkt) would be a player who makes Liverpool’s back-line even more resolute and a lot stronger as they continue to strive, in order to make themselves a better team. https://www.footballtransfertavern....eal-partner-for-van-dijk-that-liverpool-need/
You watch much of our under 18s? Don’t really see much about them these days, not since lfc tv stopped showing games for free in the Rafa days
bits and bobs. The youth cup and the u19 youth league as well. This glaztel kid is a decent forward, he deserves a deal cos he might make a pro player even if not with us. His goal scoring this season has been top drawer. Duncan as a no 10 beside him in the u18s has been a class above though. the two have worked quite well together. We will see where this all washes out with brewster as well.... theres only so many young kids we can give chances to
Liverpool involved in eight-club race to sign Benfica star Joao Felix Whose position would be under threat if Felix signed for Liverpool? If Jurgen Klopp’s Reds did manage to fend off Europe’s biggest clubs to bring Felix to Anfield, then Naby Keita’s place in the team could potentially come under threat despite arriving at the club less than a year ago. The Guinean international has had a slow start to his Liverpool career, but has picked up his form of late thanks to a continued run in the team, where his ability to get on the ball and drive forward through the centre has caught the eye.
it's got to the point where if a player is linked it's not true. it's almost got to break.as something very substantive now from certain people.who.know.a.deal.is on
Saw a link earlier saying Real Madrid wanted Mourinho as manager for a second time and Jose wanted Salah as his first signing. Ridiculous eh? Not so much when you realise it was on caught offside
Liverpool have been linked with another move for 18-year-old Borussia Dortmund and England winger Jadon Sancho, having missed out on him when he was at Manchester City. (Daily Mirror)
Jurgen Klopp has revealed strong Liverpool interest in Jadon Sancho - but admitted his club had NO chance of signing the rising England star. and they made a whole story out of that ffs
