Sadio Mane rival boss risks wrath after naming three clubs Liverpool star could play for Mane has been a huge success since moving to Anfield in the summer of 2016 https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/sadio-mane-rival-boss-risks-15315209 Naby Keita sets six-month Liverpool deadline as he seeks to settle into life at Anfield Naby Keita joined Liverpool in the summer from RB Leipzig - and he is continuing to settle in https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/naby-keita-sets-six-month-15315379
First story is just stupidity. Its a piss poor effort at making a headline to push LFC on his contract talks. To mention man utd just shows how dumb it is. Keita interview is more interesting. It shows he is motivated but it also shows how much of an adjustment it is for some players to come and how hard it is to integrate without the language skills to understand english (not the few scouse that are around melwood.) Hopefully he does progress in this and steps up as the season progresses
No i'm just saying theres not many keita needs to talk to at this point. I'd not say TAA is like carragher or that theres a coach he needs to tell to calm down la.
Liverpool beginning to talk to Joe Gomez over a new contract. Discussions at early stage but club looking to reward his development. Paul Joyce
and it would be a reward as its 3.5 years left on current deal so club wants him for life and to pay him what he's shown he can earn before city tap him.up
And there's one man the club has to thank for him and it's one we treated poorly. Sean o Driscoll immediately recommended the kid to Rodgers. o Driscoll left England u19s for us and was a proper fully qualified coach. we sacked him and Rodgers after 3 months. bit shabby when imo the club knew they wanted klopp. so thanks to o'driscoll we have the best young English cb of the generation imo.
I seem to recall Jimmy absolutely savaging O'Driscoll despite him being the only actual uefa pro licence qualified coach we hired. BTW this guy is now working in wolves academy. He's a coach not a manger but he gave us the best yuong CB in the country for an absolute steal for his short stay at anfield IMO we treated him shabbily and he would stand up against any of the under age coaches we now employ in the academy. Funny thing is.... jimmys never had a comment about any of our coaches in the academy level of any sort. @Jimmy Squarefoot .. your opinion please?
no, i don't watch the academy of any club. i used to watch ours on lfctv. what's that have to do with o driscoll?
He was at england u19 level. we hired them then fired him.... so we ruined his chances with england.. at a time when others then got to go to tournaments and win. Then he took a job at walsall as manager and that didn't work out... clearly not a manager and not every coach is. I might ask what the **** is worng with linders as he couldn't manage a team either but his sat on bench for us now and we are all happy about it. The point is he is at least fully qualified as a coach and he did do us a big favour by recommending gomez but from day 1 he was hired jimmy was giving him abuse for no real reason bar he wasn't a big name. I would contend we have far less qualified coaches working at our academy thats all.
probably nothing to be fair. Wolves are performing due to the agent/owner stealing many fine players for half nothing and builidng a prem team out of them. neves, jimenez, patricio, moutinho, vinagre, gosalves..
Real Madrid are making a last-ditch attempt to make Mauricio Pochettino their manager as pressure grows on current incumbent Julen Lopetegui.
