jimmy is deffo right on this one lads. It was widely rumoured rogers dug the heels in to get benteke and took firmino not really wanting him. Thats why he stuck him wide right.

    i love you too RHC.

Basically the best description of firmino is:

    - He works hard and fits klopps pressing game
    - He's really intelligent at making runs into space to create space for other players and dragging defenders away.

Those are literally the 2 biggest complements about him. To be fair, he also okay at holding the ball up and every now and again scores a belter and is pretty skillful.

    now onto the bad.

    - He's not great at AM, he's pretty **** on the wings so he has to play false 9 as that is his best role.
    - his finishing is even more ropey than Salahs
    - whilst he's not super slow, he isn't quick at all.
    - he turns up for 2 in 5 games and is dire, very dire in 3 in 5.

    firmino love in mate.

the truth is he's not that inconsistent. it's not a case of him not doing it one game then being brilliant then not doing it again.

the case is imo that his general levels drop. fitness, work rate whatever. this occurs not very often but I does happen once or twice a season and he always looks over weight at start of preseason. ally this to the proven drink drive offense and he seems a lad that likes to enjoy himself. as I said it's not often.

no he's not quick. that's just a fact
    he's average paced. not slow.

he's got a good shot on him, powerful but you'd not call him a natural finish like some classic strikers.

no he's not a winger.. no he's not a midfielder. he is what he is.

you said he was ok at hold ball up. I would say rather than saying it that way as the classic English brute up top totally isolated he is more of a guy playing deep collecting in ball and distrubing but he doesnt lose rhe ball much. hes not tall enough to be a workdonkey to lump it at. he wants it to feet.

he's got terrible dress sense, hair styles, tattoos and radioactive teeth.

the guy has about a 1 in 3 scoring record in the league which isn't that bad but this year has filled his boots in Europe so will have 20 odd goals by may.

    he's a 10-15 goals type guy.

as strikers go it's not terrible is it.

Discounting friendlies, Firmino is 20 games, 11 goals and 5 assists...not bad for someone who just works hard and makes intelligent runs!

He's not going to win any major awards any time soon, but he's so important to our team. Holds it up brilliantly, calm in possession, links the attacks (he's nearly always involved somewhere), wins more tackles than most of our defence or midfield and chips in with his fair share of goals just for fun. Love the guy. My favourite Liverpool player right now.

Both Dirk Kuyt and Firmino are hard working.

in fairness to firmino he's a bit quicker.. just enough.

kuyt was really effective but bad to watch and never stopped working.

firmino has that touch of creativity more but I don't think he's actually as good in the box as kuyt.

Bobby Firminho is greatly underestimated by the look of it. I'd have him over Dirk everyday....not because I didn't like Dirk but because I rate Bobby higher.

The difference is that DK was super conistsant whereas BF has had a slow start to the season and was off form for the first few games. He's now in the groove though and fits what we do perfectly.
