Not looking likely eh
Everton cannot afford him though.
I do too - but I wouldn't be too worried if he went. We'll have Keita that will play that exact role, to a better standard than Can. Still not convinced about Can's style suiting what Klopp wants.
Good player no doubt. Just not mobile enough for us to be too worried if he went.
Can as the 6 and Keita as the B2B. Would be perfect.
I see the links for Jean Seri are starting to appear...... again!
dunno how well he is playing but Nice have been dire.
He could be decent but i heard he's good technically but is tiny. Not sure how he'd fit in (obviously loads of small quality players like Kante, Mata, Silva etc) but from what i know he's more attacking than defensive.
Yeah for sure.
I think lining him up in the summer when Coutinho goes makes sense. So technically swapping Coutinho for Keita and Seri with some change to spare.
Barca put a late offer in for him last summer and he's on plenty of radar's. Nice are ****, but he's the shining light in their team. I think with better players around him he'll be excellent. Bit like Mane when at Southampton - hit and miss as his team were mostly dire.
Anyway Bobby wtf are you doing here? I gave you one simple job to do over the next few days and you're pissing about not doing it.
Take that as your first warning.
What's that? Keep Bod isolated until he learns better? Already done, you can have your first warning back
Yeah barca put a late offer in last year, when Nice smashed it. Seri at the moment is more 1 season wonder than up and coming star. Has he really been a shining light for nice? I've not heard much about him recently.
Glad Bod is dealt with. Cheers
i don't care about can tbh...
frankly there's better out there.
I agree and would like to see a defensive midfielder come in alongside Keita. However Can leaving means Henderson staying and I know which one I would rather lose
thats fiar enough.... he's not a no 6 and never will be.
I think it’s clear to see that he will develop into a top midfielder. You’re scoffing at a player that Juventus want?
Surely we want to keep these players and add to the team.
I'm saying he's got a lot of faults that a game v spartak can't cover.
Can is not a no 6 either. he's got a lot of different attributes but moving the ball quickly is not one of them.
Can is ponderous turning, he loves a run wit hthe ball rather than keep the ball moving passing.
these are just facts
Just like wijnaldum is a guy who seems to like to take 5 touches statically in midfield, holding the ball and turning every direction but then passing is square.
or like henderson who wants to chase off like a big dog after the ball ignoring his duties or blindly hoofing balls into the box
That is true - but all I’m saying is that this guy is good enough to be starting for a top 4 team. He has ability and the mentality to play for a big club, as well as potential to develop.
It was telling how against Brighton, he was the one who organised the back line and not the actual CB next to him.
which top 4 side?
not city. not utd, not cheslea. who do you think at those drop out... spurs? Ok debate arsenal and thats fine... but thats the reality.
I would agree on mentality for big big club but theres mentality and then there is ability.
BTW... birghton, spartak... yeah... not great measurement stick there. Thats not his fault. Klopps given him those games.
I was thinking Can was our worst player last night when he pops up with an assist for Mané's goal.
He plays like his heart's not in it. Not bothered if he goes.
