(Sunderland Echo) Liverpool FC set to ‘pounce’ to sign 26-year-old in January – report Liverpool FC are poised to make a fresh move to sign Virgil van Dijk in January, say reports https://www.thesportreview.com/2017/11/liverpool-fc-transfer-news-lfc-van-dijk-january/
Ward would get lots of practice. Can’t see Woodbury getting much out of it though playing for struggling side who don’t go forward very often
Well it shows him what the real world is like and he'd get 7 shades kicked.out of him for a while. He's wasted in the stand a and u23s is no good so... well.. Coleman knows him too... why not?
Maybe. Would give him experience in real football but would it develop his skills? Not touching the ball for large parts of the game? Sure there are other teams in Champ that play better football where he can get on the ball and develop
what i have noticed watching him is he looks a little ponderous and looking for loads of time on the ball. Thats relative to senior pros not u23s. If he learns how to play with less time to make decisions and thats all i think he will do well. the thing is he can and should drop right into midfield to be on the ball anyway so learning to think faster would be enough imo to learn on a loan. He's a boy playing a mans game now. if he goes off and just learns what the speed of game thats needed fine. the reality is with a coach who should know what he is about and might have faith in him he's going to do better than a random who might just leave him on the sidelines. 6 months there or six months in our stand?
"Pounce" on him. We've tried luring him with sweeties so now we're just gonna go straight out and bundle him into a van? Bloody silly journalists.

STURRIDGE WANTS JANUARY MOVE
No chance of Sturridge going in january unless we buy another forward.....and just don't see that happening.
I agree. It's all paper.talk and I reckon sturridge would.fancy a free as nobody on the planet will give him 150k a week. the world cup might be in his mind but who knows
We are being linked with a loan move for Draxler in Janury as he can't get in the PSG team due to Neymar and Mbappe. Might be interesting if he comes in, doubt if they would sell though.
