So what are ours? We know Jose and Lovren used to have a bromance going on and that seems to have been taken over by Cork and Bertrand but does anybody have any insight as to which players have particularly strong relationships with each other?
Morgan and Jose seem to be close. Every time I see a picture of Jose on the coach Morgan seems to be with him and vice versa.
Dusan and Graziano seem to be extremely happy to be united at one club. Both mentioned their respect of the other one and their level of understanding with each other in a very short amount of time would hint to a close friendship... ...or more
This could explain Lovren's lost of form. Fonte was helping him to play at a high level not just through his leadership skills but on personal level boosting his confidence.
Maybe this represents "tapping down", i.e. the opposite of "tapping up"? Jose is whispering sweet thoughts into Morgan's ear about the benefits of staying at Southampton.
Forster is usually around with Bertrand and Cork. Clyne with Ward-Prowse, Reed and some of the other younger guys. Alderweireld with Fonte and Morgan. Wanyama with Mané and Mayuka. Off the top of my head.
Poor JWP....must be missing Shaw and Chambers (and of course the whole team at the moment). The youngsters always stuck together last season.
Doesn't surprise me at all, Africans in a foreign country are culturally encouraged to help and support one another. I'm curious to know who Tadic's biggest chum is?
Are we so sure Fonte and Lovren had such a good friendship? Seems to me from mutterings and hints that Fonte is a pretty good judge of character and if the rumours are that Lovren was not the nicest of chaps (even when he was 'loving' being at Saints) then surely Jose would have cottoned on to that.
Didn't Fonte have a dig at Lovren recently. Lovren posted a picture of his shirt next to Gerrard's and Fonte accused him of trying too hard.
