perfect if basso was in goal...

hopefully this formation works out because in theory, fryatt forces us to play on the floor and pass the ball around and the fact that he's not imo a lone striker, the idea is that brady, koren and stewart can all create and score goals.

That does have a balance about it; and that formation will push all 3 attackers forward with Koren providing. :)

I think we'll miss McLeans running more than a lot on here realise or will admit to afterwards.

If Pusic is fit, then given Bradys indifferent form of late wouldn't surprise me if he gets the nod

I would also like to see Basso in goal, but if posters on other threads are in the know, NB is not so keen on him for some reason. However maybe NB see that Gulasci just needs games to get his confidence up, anyhow time will tell.

I'd like to see Geo making a shock one-off comeback to settle some scores!

Cannot see NB not getting on with Basso? Surely Gulacsi starting against Derby was to get Gulacsi's confidence up or Basso wasn't 100%?

Mclean pulls defenders about and never stops moving, he will be missed.

Pusic hasn't played for several weeks now, he'll have a reserve game before he gets back in the first team and as he didn't feature for the reserves last night, I assume he's still not fit.

Pusic would be perfect to replace McLean as he also has a bit of hustle and bustle about him, but as OLM said he will play a reserves game first so it won't happen.

I'd be happy with the team shown but would rather Basso in goal, time will show if Gulacsi's now our no.1 or if Basso just wasn't fit enough, his injury is the type that comes back when put under stress so it's realistic that he was fit for the bench but not for the 90 mins.

Brady's got a big chance to show his worth not only to us but to Man Utd, he'll know his performances haven't been great and now Cam's back he'll be under a bit more pressure as he'll be getting compared to a player that plays in a similiar role. If i was him i'd be working doubly hard to be noticed in training this week!

I think what Brady has lacked is competition.

Once he sees the effectiveness of Stewart IN THE SAME TEAM he will not want the United observers to think they let the wrong one go.

I think playing Brady in the team with Cam will bring Brady on.

I'll admit now we're likely to miss him, despite my signature and other comments suggesting I don't like him my problem isn't with him playing in the current team. It's when other options become available that I think we need to adjust the balance of our strikeforce and it's McLean that I've never seen produce a string of games together where he's looked a threat to the oopposition goal. Simpson I saw quite a few times while he was with QPR so I've seen he can do it and he seems to hit runs of form, and Fryatt as well you can rotate with form. McLean is a bit hit and miss (in terms of threat not effort) so it's a gamble leaving him in at the expense of the others.

common sense really and a different style to the derby game. hit them down the wings with pace and then bring on Big Dele for 20 mins at the end when the Burnley defence are on there knees. I would like to see Holahan or maybe McCaffrey on the bench as both look sharp in the res. Worth a go for the last 15 mins maybe ? am sure NB will do whats best and who are we to worry ? lol. Agree with Basso. PG looks far from secure to me.

I felt NB was using Basso's recovery period as a chance for Gulasci to get his nerve back. Rather than that he preferred Gulasci over Basso.
