bit of fun. If you weren’t doing what you do now, what would be your ideal alternative? Let’s not have nothing/retired as an option. No need to declare your current occupation/trade.

I’d love to be a postman. Seriously.

I'd enjoy being a postman, but my dream job (which would probably be reliant on a big Lotto win to see to fruition) would be to open a large record shop, focussing particularly on vinyl, with listening booths and a cafe during the day, turning into a bar with a stage to put on gigs in the evening. A lot to work on, but if money isn't an issue then this would keep me happy for many years

I'd quite fancy being a postman too, but don't reckon it would pay enough to keep me in expensive wines. When I retire, which might just be this time next year, I'm thinking of asking the local council if they'd employ me to go round picking up litter, which is something that would give me immense job satisfaction.

That’s a good call mate. I just want something to supplement my pension (2 years 4 months unless the dream redundancy/voluntary early retirement materialises before then) and gets me walking. Postman is £10 an hour and you can do 25 hours a week.

I’m undecided as to what my ideal job would be between
I could be a lawyer with stratagems and muses
I could be a doctor with poultices and bruises
I could be a writer with a growing reputation
I could be the ticket-man at Fulham Broadway station

At least you're literate, unlike some of the knobheads that do my round. Was expecting a really important package from our solicitor recently and received the red card through the letterbox saying collect from the local office. Where it stated our name it said 'Mr & Mrs Confidential'...

I suppose my dream job would be a gardener in a place that had perfect soil, my garden is crap heavy clay which does for many plants I would like to grow. Having a team like old Titchmarsh might help as well...

    Love Ghibli.

This should be on the Review thread, but have you seen the Red Turtle? The most beautiful film I have ever seen, a Ghibli co production, but a different style, no Manga eyes.

    GSK. Losers.
