Yeah, a sad day indeed. Surely they have to replace at least one of the two Liverpool double act.

Bring back Gerry Anderson, seeing as Alan Hansen looks exactly like one of his models. <ok>

Dump all the ex pros with their rubbish comments let Jake (I cover everything) Humphrey take over and he can introduce it in the style of Murray Walker with no rubbish analysis

I think Alan Hansen and Matt Holland should introduce it - under the new name of "The Woodentops" <ok>

Replace with quality from other channels like Sky - i.e. Gary Neville, Jamie Redknapp and get in some fresh experienced players who are interesting like Clarke Carlilse and Jonathon Woodgate. Still fronted by the class Gary Lineker

Christ, have you got a shrine for Jonathon Woodgate somewhere?

And the worst pundit of all is Garth Crooks. Jesus, he is annoying.
BBC have lost the best pundit, arguably there only good pundit. Sky have the best, I don't mind Redknapp and think Neville is good, they also always have decent guests as well i.e Ashton when we play. Who I don't mind. Ray Wilkins if the worst of the Sky bunch though, wish someone would employ him so I don't have to hear "he's a talented boy" next season.

Clever guy and good guy. Why not? Although I see him more campaigning and working with PFA rather than punditry.

Matt Holland has about as much character as a piece of Ikea furniture

You'd have thought that after Lawro was trending on twitter due to attacks on his truly appalling commentating, the. BBC would have got the message. But it's quite clear that they don't have a clue what makes a good football pundit

How they manage to recycle them Delia puns I never know.

"Let's be avin you" is another one which is wearing thin.

Adrian Chiles hasn't even covered a Norwich game yet, christ if he does it will be horrendous pun-wise.

Another point regarding pundits, I do quite like Pat Nevin, he talks sense and actually respects acheivements and the lesser players if you like. For example he won't talk about Torres not scoring for the 12234135 consecutive minute he will talk about Holt scoring a spectacular volley.

BBC, he done a couple of the Euros. Scottish fella used to play for Chelsea (in hindsight Torres/Chelsea wasn't good example but you get my point)

I agree when I've heard him he tends to speak sense, shame that the BBC seems to give precedence to over inflated egos rather than quality punditry

Agreed, mate...they'd do much better with the "delia smith is a pisshead..." puns!

eg..."a lush pass to Holt"..."Nodge soak up the pressure"

I'm sure that there's plenty more!
