a ****head yesterday said to me "great point for the mighty gas vs burton" and pissed himself laughing so hard. yes it does sound sad compared to where we were a few seasons ago under PT in the play offs 3rd in fact after beating the saints away. looking at our team now compared to the team we had then, how have the club allowed us to fall so far down where draws vs burton/fleetwood are classed as good results? how can a draw a burton (who we beat 7-1 in april) be a good result? suppose looking at our team/injuries/bad luck/poor start to the season will explain why! im grateful for picking up any points at all at the moment. but looking at burton, they are at the top end of the table and no other home team have scored more than burton have at home. burton have beat 2nd in the championship leicester away 4-2 and beat 3rd in league 1 sheff utd away as well in cups. seems like a good point seeing what burton has done this season and how poor we been from the start. now i expect to turn draws into wins as we are on a good run, 1 defeat in 6 now
I agree CJS. It was hard for me to deal with when we were thrashed by Oxford.... Imagine how I felt when we got battered 4-1 by Crawley I have learnt my lesson now and don't do away games anymore! Losing to teams like this who were conference not long ago leaves a bad taste in the mouth and I know we need to realise we are **** and are playing these teams for a reason, but getting a hiding from them is nothing short of embarressing and the fall we have had recently is really hard to take (no disrespect to those sides BTW - well, maybe a little, as they are both totally **** )
Yep can't disagree with any of that, onwards and upwards! Just wait until we get Woodards back and Shaqs and we'll start to climb this ****ty league!
Sometimes you have to taste the crap at the bottom of the barrel before you get to rise with the cream at the top. Just that we've been tasting the crap for a ****ing long time now nearly 130 years to be precise
