    It'll be a good game.

Both sides will think it's winnable.

Are the Mackems a bogey side for HCAFC historically? I can't remember.

    Our rejects vs their rejects.

I wonder who'll ruin the day for their old club.

3-2 Hull win, Meyler, Elmo, McShane, Altidore and Mannone (yes, Mannone) scoring.

Jozy will be a real handful for Faye/Davies. He's a far different player than when we had him as a 19 year old. Wouldn't be surprised to see him score. Sunderland may be much tougher to beat than we think.

Sunderland won't be easy but I don't see Altidore being the threat to Faye or Davies, Fletcher worries me far more. Think we're better than them, start well and we'll win.

Treat them all as a threat and we won't go too far wrong. JA looked decent in his last game, MOM in the derby, SB will be taking them all very seriously. Where will our threat be?

    Hell City?

    You on about Luton again?

Jozy looked decent linking with Fletcher against the mags... he won the corner that yielded Fletcher's goal and assisted Borini on the other... He is due for a brace tho. Sky had Jozy MOTM, but in reality, it was that ginger Colback... Poyet moved him from Left back in to holding midfield and the bastard was an defensive beast all game running all about the pitch...

The team was a shambles this year under di Canio and Poyet showed something in the last derby. The players are better than their record - just how much better is the unknown at this stage. If they can bring the same intensity to the KC, it should be an interesting match.

Credit where credit's due. It's really hard to beat Newcastle. I mean come on, it's not like we've done it recently... <whistle>

It will be a good game though, and it's the type of game that bites us on the arse. Hopefully our good start doesn't make the lads complacent and the old City curse that the teams at the foot of the League cause us a load of crap doesn't come into play. They'll be boosted by their Cup Final win on the weekend, and the ever-charismatic Gus Poyet will be attempting to install some belief into the Sunderland players that they can actually get out this mess they're in.

As long as we keep doing what we're doing and stay strong and resolute at the back, we'll ease through it.

I hope that was said with tongue firmly in cheek. It was the touch of a rapist. Just fortunate that Borini was able to pick it up.
