Express and Star have reported that Wolves would want at least 10 million to consider letting Kevin Doyle leave this summer.

With some of the other reports that Sunderland were interested for around 8 million, maybe this is Wolves dropping a little info to the media to see if anyone else is interested.

But why, he is still our best striker. "Silly money" for want of a better phrase may be what is required. 10 million may be enough, but the Sunderland fans seemed to think that 8mil is too much for him...

Yeah, I don't think that much money will be around this summer. Morgan today has announced that if we stay up then we will not be spending any where near last years 18million.

That sounds like we will be spending around 10 million and with OHara being around 4-5 of that then it only leaves enough for another decent defender of which we need at least one, or maybe go for a couple of cheaper foreign buys and hope they work out.

Guess we will need to wait until Sunday before we can even start looking at who we will be spending any money on.

Too true. There will be a huge difference in the players that we could attract. But, 4-5 million may be enough to bring in a good CB/LB. I certainly hope so anyway. Tightening the defence definitely needs to be looked at over the summer and maybe try different combinations pre-season?
