Downing and Carroll win us the title?

    Just fantacizing about 6pm sunday. Liverpool have returned to form and earned a vital 2-0 win at Newcastle. Man City have sufferred from beautiful route one football at home to West Ham, where Andy Carroll and Downing were instrumental in earning West Ham a 4-3 win.

    As Gerrard lifts the trophy Brendan Rodgers sheepishly looks around Anfield for a bin. On finding one he carefully discards two envelopes, (that he has had in his pocket for a couple of years,) whilst he thinks no one is looking.

    Fair play to City they have showed good composure when it mattered most. As gutted as I have been, at least Chelsea are out of it now. #smallmercy

    The world works on strange ways, maybe we spent 35m on carroll just so we good flog him to west ham, so that they could beat Man city and hand us the title.

    It would be fun. Not only because we'd lift the trophy and Gerrard would complete his set, but the opposition fans that have been ribbing us since the Chelsea game would not be seen for months <laugh>

    Dont get me wrong I fully expect city to close it out in style on sunday. But I am well on my way through the 6 stages of guttedness. I have passed uncontrollable sadness, anger and regret and am now experiencing the crazy hopeful stage. Only realization then future hope to go.

    Don't get me wrong, I'm still hopeful. I was just taking the piss. I like the idea that our spunking 35 big ones on Donkey was a long term master plan for us to win the title.
    Although I'd be just as happy if a beach ball came on and scored the last minute winner.
