Whilst perhaps not entirely a foregone conclusion, things are looking decidedly grim for Aston Villa's EPL relegation survival prospects ... Thought it might be interesting to capture people's views on: a) Can Villa possibly survive? b) Which 2 teams will go down with them if they don't? In terms of b) I'm keeping it to teams currently below the 20 point park for the purposes of the poll - will be interesting to return to this post-January transfer window to see if / how views have changed.
Sorry lads - Ignore - posted before I put all the options in ... will re-do as "Down with the Villa 2" LOL
They need to average around 1.5 points per game between now and May to escape. Given that they've managed 0.38 in the first 16, they need an absolute miracle. The bottom line is that they're just not good enough. They only stayed up last season due to Benteke's goals, combined with the performances of Delph and Vlaar when it mattered. They lost all 3 and replaced them with lesser players. The end result was always going to be relegation. Bye Villa
Villa are gone, no doubts. Swansea and West Brom are my tips to join them. There are a whole host of teams involved, but Newcastle, Sunderland, Bournemouth have more going for them than the other 2 in my opinion.
