Lot of football to go through yet, but just been looking at that last day fixture list. Some epic encounters on the day - not headline grabbing games either, but significant to us.

Looking at those last fixtures, three spring to mind that could all go either way -

    Fulham v Crystal Palace
    Sunderland v Swansea
    West Brom v Stoke

At the same time, the other popular drop contenders all have tough games - we've got Chelsea, Norwich have Arsenal, and West Ham visit Man City. None of us should realistically expect anything from our games. Hull will also have do well to get a point from Everton.

Those three fixtures above could decide it. Any of those clubs could send their opponents down on the last day, or even share the points to make sure we do instead. Don't want to have to beat Chelsea to stay up. <yikes>

    Perhaps I'm just being cynical?.......<laugh>

Maybe, maybe not - also maybe you'll finish top 8 and won't be involved. <ok>

Still playing for the highest position possible , last season's drop off in results financially cost the club a few millions so I don't think we'll be doing anyone any favours ,nor would we expect the same back .

Table position means a lot of cash from the Prem merit payment pot. Finishing a couple of places higher can net a club a cople of million extra. No favours done in this division, but sharing the points when it suits two sides playing each other is always on the cards.

Lets work hard to get the points we need and leave everyone else to their own devices.

Not feeling that optomistic at the moment though.

Baby face will get you relegated well before the end of the season, I cant see cardiff picking enough points up more than the other bottom clubs because that is what must happen for survival...

To get points we need goals and that's not happening anytime soon.

I still feel bullish and think we will get the points needed before Chelsea on the last day.

i cant see us going out and beating all the sides at the bottom with us to be honest. i can see us nicking a point here and there and maybe even a win against the better teams in the division, but the atmosphere at home to teams like hull and fulham will be nervy to say the least.

basically like norwich if we dont start well. the fans know we're up against it, but we've also got the plastic element who want to be entertained. something has to give.........

Quick question Swamp, do you feel you are a better side under OGS than when Malky was in charge?
