Good to see the young lads getting loan moves. Hopefully he makes the most of it and is ready for the step up to league one\two next year.

It's quite a shame our youngsters cant to better than the Conference though. I would have liked to see them go to somewhere like Rotherham, Bradford or even York.

Good luck to the lad. He has a chance of getting a promotion onto his CV at an early age.

With Brian Laws and Scunny crying poverty i am amazed that they dont come asking for some iof our kids.

How Laws let Cooper and Townsend go to Chesterfield without trying to get them is very strange. Cooper is more than good enough for League One.

He maybe was rebuffed. Would you want your lads been groomed by Laws? The idea is to improve the little buggers.

I'd understand it with Cooper, but it'd be a big ask of Townsend or Wilson to suddenly play at League One level. Townsend has done it right, start out at a level which might be beneath you, but will generate confidence. He won their young player of the season, now he's stepped up to play at League Two level. If he can play in the WB role, then I'd expect him to be a first teamer some day. Same as Bradley, who I thought was impressive last season given his relative experience (a loan to some random Swedish team....Ik Frej?) and is probably our brightest talent now that Cooper has left us.

Scunthorpe are in dire straits, they don't need untested youngsters, they want experienced players to help keep them up.
