More transfer gossip: we are apparently interested in Wesley Verhoek and Lex Immers from Den Haag. I believe they are both youg midfielders but don't know anything about them. Jol is certainly getting out there and looking at people. I feel that this kind of deal is a lot more likely than the Zamora for Crouch and money story which (fortunately) seems to have been forgotten.
Yeh i seen this yesterday aswell. i know that Wesley Verhoek is very highly rated in the Eredivisie, The only thing ive heard about Immers is that he was fined for some remarks he said about Ajax fans and that he has a ADO Den Haag Badge Tattoo, (now thats loyalty for you) Verhoek can play either wing and striker aswell, IN JOL WE TRUST
I've just looked them up on Wikipedia. Neither of them are prolific goalscorers, which is worrying if we're signing them as forwards rather than midfielders. Other than that, the ages are good - 24 and 25 - but beyond that I don't know anything about them. We'll have to wait and see, as ever.
i think we are wanting Verhoek as a back up winger as hes young and fast, plus Jol when he was at Ajax he was looking into him aswell, plus with Mr Jol being born and playing for Den Haag he might have a nice relationship with the owners and management,
