At 32 still quite young in terms of goalkeepers. Another one who made the mistake of moving, think he said 'I am going to a club that expect to stay in the PL, whereas Swansea hope to stay there@ well he was wrong there wasnt he.

Still I have no doubt he will find a club, i actually think he is a tidy keeper.

You just have to find it funny don't you, leaving us was the best thing that happened to us!! I think he knew the club were looking to improve in the goal keeping department and Wolves under Mcarthy thought they would make us weaker if they took him from us but it proved to be a disaster for both.

I don't really feel sorry for the bloke, he could have stayed here and competed for a place but took the bigger wages elsewhere so good luck to him. I wish him well and thank him for his good work here,he did great, but as with most when they leave...**** him <ok>

Apparently he didn't go for bigger wages. I heard the wages he was offered at Wolves were the same as we offered him in his new contract, the only difference was the fact that Wolves were happy to guarantee his wages would remain the same if they were relegated, but prudent Huw wouldn't.
I think it worked out well for us on so many levels, but I do wish him all the best as I thought he was brilliant for us

That's pretty much the same though really isn't it ? he was expecting us to go down wasn't he ? didn't fancy the pay cut if that happened and didn't back his own talent to ensure it wouldn't happen.

I heard he was offered 18k a week here and 20k a week there with as you rightly say no clause in his contract if relegation happened. All our other players were happy enough with the deal but I guess Dorus knew better.
Anyway as I said it was the best thing that happened to us really, he did well and played his part, football is a business and he did what he thought was the best thing at the time, it turned out he ****ed up but is a millionaire so it aint all bad <ok>

Doris de Vries - his last game in the Championship saw his team (Swansea) promoted to the Premier League, and his first game in the Premier League saw his team (Wolves) relegated to the Championship.<whistle>
