Loved that bit in this article - http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com//12122011/58/premier-league-hoy-fumes-fans-twitter-abuse.html
Bloody embarrassing if you ask me. Even if they'd got the right guy its out of order. Every club has a few idiots.
It's ironic really. With the amount of abuse refs get, no one in their right mind is going to want to do the job. Hence, you get people of the standard of chris foy doing it instead, leading to more abuse. A vicious cycle, if you like.
Afternoon Gericalo, absense makes the heart grow fonder, don't you know? By the way, I think you will find that it is a vicious CIRCLE - we are a little picky on here! If it was a sticky situation it would be a viscious circle. Happy Christmas anyway
Both are correct: Noun 1. vicious cycle - one trouble leads to another that aggravates the first Now jog on you antagonistic twit
Spurfect I did use twitter ONCE! during the summer transfer window.. I had to sign up, wait an age to be confirmed as a "genuine" human being all this after giving my D.O.B. e-mail address REAL name, twitter account number, password. The list was endless. Some of the guys/gals on there must be insane IMHO! It did however come in useful when, I found out that we had indeed signed and sealed the deal with Wilson Palacios.. at least two days before it was made public. This made me wonder a whole host of things.. 1. Why does anyone especially Pro footballer's any sprortsman/woman who is well know use the bloody thing? 2. So many tweet things which are so obviously "down right not even close to the truth" 3. They lied to me and because you can follow basically anyone using it, I had at one stage 17 other tweeters asking me "What do you know" It peed me off so much, I closed the account and I "still receive e-mails" even though I've blocked all twitter users?? Back on topic.. I can fully understand the Spurs fans frustration, but not the abuse the Stoke fans take? If someone bites, we're going to bite back. That is human nature. As are ( some ) wrong decisions made by ref's.. but UNLIKE the Real Mr Foy he does indeedy need glasses and is a complete tool IMHO. Of course we (All) teams get really bad decisions go against us and Stoke have suffered more than some but... I see that Mr Foy is reffing the Fulham v Bolton game so all I can say is... GOD help both teams.. the F.A. are a bunch of W*****S and the SOONER Mr Foy and other ref's (i could name at least 5 more) are struck off the better. Of course they won't be and that is why we saw Mr Clatterbug miss another iMHO blatant pen not given for Man City last night. All I can say is this. I sincerely HOPE that Spurs/Arry and you the fans get a big slice of LUCK soon They say, what goes around comes around.. it did for Stoke on Sunday and it was about time too! That though, does not excuse the F.A. for using ref's who miss the so bloody obvious we will continue to argue club v club, fans v fans and that's a travisty. To all the Spurs fans... Good luck NO PUN intended and I sincerely hope you get a top 4 at least. You showed on Sunday how good you can be 2nd half. Keep it going and a Merry Xmas one and all. Gericarlo If you spent more time on this board, you would understand that Nicky B has a sense of humour. It helps, especially when like me, you support Stoke
