I have spent the last two years in China - Saints form was unbelievable, going unbeaten at home until last Christmas when I saw them lose to Bristol City. 2 weeks I returned home and watched two home games again seeing losses. So my last 3 games have all been losses. However on Saturday I am moving to Scotland - I hope this will change our fortunes! For what it's worth I was so proud to be a Southampton fan today, despite fans around me calling david a **** or supporting United - there were a few in Chapel. I believe our team spirit, leadership and new additions will see a brighter few months. I expect us to lose against Arsenal but we showed today we will give anyone a game and will not roll over. The 3 games following Arsenal will allow us to see where we are in this league. Sensationalist fans being down on the team are not what is needed, we are in the greatest league in the world and have played 2 teams who can beat most of the league and Europe. Now... Where is my Urugual and Japanese flags?
Will do! Although I am heading back to China soon where I recently saw fake Norwich and Swansea shirts wondering if Cortese will allow it to happen for Southampton. We were surprisingly popular on Chinese tv coverage of the city game!
Totally agree SaintsinChina I hope fans who ranted about poor players etc can look back today and realise they should be proud of our performance. Safe traveling
