Not sure whether another virus lockdown, a rail strike, or war with Russia will stop me watching City next season! Or all three.
It's a crap thread obviously, but it's just the way I'm feeling. The war in Europe, the economy... I had a paperback book a few years ago, it was titled 'Is it just me or is everything ****' Even the book was ****
Just said that I don’t bother with it anymore and then go to twitter and see that. You’d think that vile country would’ve learnt by now…
Haven’t watched it in years, I just click on Twitter, see what’s trending, then try & google & find out what the truth is!
The local paper is only about 10% local news , They love a lot of ‘sensational’ crap. The BBC and ITV is so ‘correct’ it’s ridiculous . They pursue politicians who are possibly the most in genuine self serving bunch of repetitive robots I have ever seen . China rules the world , the US think they do and Putin wants to because he thinks it’s 1960! The French hate us ,the Scots and Welsh do and the Germans quietly screw everyone! and do nothing for NATO and Ukraine. The Greeks want to go back to paying no tax As for guns in America !!!! And our media frets about calling a man a man or a woman a woman - it’s beyond a joke !! Little kids don’t have prejudices we give them a whole list of names to use so they develop them ! I am feeling that way too .
Supernature (Ricky Gervais show) now out on Netflix. Very funny in places, unfunny in others .... but I just LOVE the way he doesn't give a **** about pointing out and mocking the utter stupidity that's going on these days. Douglas Murray gives a v good analysis of it too in his new book 'The War on the West'. I haven't got to the end of it yet, so I don't know whether he offers us some hope that things will revert to more sane times, or whether I'll feel like you and Kempton are feeling by the end of it !
You forgot to mention that sanctimonious twat Attenborough telling every 10 year old that the world is ending. Oh, and the WEF….. other than that spot on.
Unfortunately it's reality and burying your head in the sand won't do . It won't always be this bad ( I think )
It won't always be this bad, but I hope it doesn't take something drastic to get things back to normal. That could happen.
Shudda taken your advice this morning Kemps, first thing I saw was the horror regarding the shooting of 19 kids and 2 teachers in the States, fkn horrific !
BBC Look North, Tuesday night, a report on this monkeyrash or what ever it's called. Less then 100 cases in the entire country and its not dangerous but last night's shock horror news was... ' A case of monkeyrash in the East Riding !!!.....' advice to ring 101 or consult your doctor if you've got a rash etc etc etc. Tonight BBC Look North, 'erm, it wasn't money rash at all......'
Almost replied there are no cases in our area, before I’d read to the end. It’s almost as if some news outlets want to believe rumours if they think it will help them get clicks?
It won't stop Mate. The toxic combination of a very large population, internet driven hate crimes, very lax gun control and individual mental illnesses combine to make further tragedies a statistical certainty. I'm just glad that I live in a country that, although ****ed up, isn't ****ed up with 400 million guns in it.
You're right of course. Something that always drives me mad though, is that when some **** decides to kill people, why on earth don't they kill ****s? Why innocent children who haven't even had the time to be bad people?
I have just found out that Amber Heard isn’t Miley Cyrus. In which case I have absolutely no ****ing idea who Amber Heard actually is
