Hardly a good hiding - we shot ourselves in the foot. Teams are going to beat us at the minute until we have another striker. We're not putting the ball in the net and teams are catching us on the counter. Maynard is exactly what we need.

Sorry not wumming at all here, you guys deserved to win and we were absolute ****. I'm writing us off the top 2 right now, and the play-offs look a distant dream. But. Was Maynard any better than Nugent tonight? Yes he got one more goal, one that was delivered on a plate by St Ledger. The other 2 goals on the night were both very well taken. There are only 2 players on our team that can come out with any credit for us tonight - Schmeichel and especially Nugent. If he was given any service whatsoever he could have had more goals than apps by now. I've gone from being desperate to get Maynard and thinking he was the missing piece of the puzzle, to not caring a jot about him. Our problems are not the striker (yes, we do need another one, and Maynard would still be near the top of my list) but the striking situation is the least of our problems. We do not have a team, a unit, a philosophy, and one players isn't going to change that. We're ****ed, with or without Maynard.
the above man is correct, your team looked not bad but, in my opinion, disjointed, I have no doubt that once your players gel and Sven finds is first team you'll be on your way, remember Sunderland in 06-07 before Roy Keane came in? they lost their first 4!
We were ****e and you were good. I never said we were going to walk the league the league and I think you've played it right for bcfc over Maynard. He looked good tonight but you were playing a side that is in turmoil. Sven needs to sort this out and stop tinkering - we need some consistency and then players will have an understanding.
