Look at the STRONG rumours since all this started. 1) We are going to hear in the next 3, 2, 1 days (lost count the amount of times I have heard that one) 2) Bates office has been cleared out 3) Bates is suffering serious ill health 4) Delay is funds being transferred 5) Delay is DD 6) Delay is Bates having second thoughts 7) Delay is because of Ramadan 8) Delay is Bates refusing to sign disclosure document 9) Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mubarak Al Khalifa is the interested party - Then he isn't then it is a different Al Khalifa now someone entirely different. 10) Ticket office closed due to new accounts being set up. 11) >>> Insert another 50 rumours here <<< Bottom line is we have been treated like ****, Bates is in charge and my view is he still will be come Christmas. Then we will all get excited because when these talks fall through or are claimed to be ongoing, around Christmas time another rumour will appear that says we are in talks again and a takeover is imminent. This will mean Bates won't have to dip into his pocket, just like sacking Grayson last day of the transfer window meaning he did not have to give any funding to NW just a token gesture allowing him to sign a couple of loan players. Warnock has only invested what he has made or saved selling and releasing players, the excuse not to spend/invest will be put down to the fact we are in talks. If we were not in talks would Warnock have walked as he would have felt lied to? Let's think back to the end of last season, Warnock said that the Chairman has told him he would back him and he believes he will be supported with his efforts to bring players in. How many of us said "yes I believe Bates will finally put his hand in his pocket, why else would he have brought NW in - Bates just didn't trust Grayson with money as he wasted it". After we signed Pearce and lost out with Ward it was put down to lack of funds because we were in talks. I believe Warnock would have went through with his threat to leave us had talks not been ongoing. My own personal opinion is that although the talks are genuine BATES has been doing his BEST to find a reason why not to proceed, he DOESN'T want to sell, he has never had any intention of selling. He might have been hoping for an offer too good to be true but he just wants to buy some time and appease the fans and manager by placing the blame for a collapse on the third party. I will now be AMAZED should today come to anything, Bates is stringing us all along and this will continue right up until the end of the season - Hope I am WRONG but can't see it.

Exactly I how I feel Ristac, although silently I will sit and wait today to see what happens. Should the end of the week pass with nothing, I will never speak/think of the TO again!

I think Bates want to sell, btw, Ristac. But on his terms. however: I used to think Bates was a canny businessman who knew exactly at all times what the optimal course was, and was unswayed by emotion, or from wearing blinkers. I won't bore you with all my reasons, but I no longer hold that view, so who knows where all this will lead. But, even by the standards of this board, you are probably crediting him with more Macchiavellian tendencies than he actually posseses.

Maybe Bates has even used this as a trial run - Using someone with a lot of money behind them to perform a DD to see what ghosts they uncover that will need correcting/covering/smoothing over in the future, remember that new company name that was set up about a month back...

How many timmes does he have to get it wrong before you accept what has been an obvious truth to at least me for weeks. There must be a tipping point, what will it take for YOU to accept LUST is broken, even if well intentioned. Me i am more cynical than that. Wherever there is a scheme there is always a schemer. Who benefits from LUST? IMO one or two have now got a profile they never used to have. They are able to sit down with Ali Baba and then move on to talk to Bates and the 40 thiieves. I have said plenty of times in the past that I believe LUST are a pain in Bates ass and he would love to see the back of them and discredit what they are doing. I believe Bates is playing a game with everyone, not just LUST, if he can ruin them along the way he will as it is a future problem solved when/if the T/O doesn't go through. I don't feel LUST have done themselves many favours along the way but the true fact is THEY have LUFC at heart and they are attempting to do good. LUST is only broken if supporters turn on them, instead of turning on them we should be more constructive and assist them in learning where it went wrong for us as fans and where we felt let down (if we did). We do need LUST as they are the only ones grabbing media attention and making noises because if this T/O has gone tits up I can't take another 7 years of Bates.

Don't get excited about anything rumoured about Leeds unless it's officially happened, especially while that old twat is in charge.
What I am struggling to understand is the amount of faith being shown is LUSTs puppet masters. I am trying to understand what it would take for some ofyou believers to waiver or accept being sold a pup or lots of pups. For my black and white many of you are equally white and black. Not going to turn this into a punch up but I am genuinely interested if there is a point when some will say enough is enough in relation to the propganda that LUST leak and the let downs when nothing happens. Today was supposed to be the day, now its saturday, if it becomes next week would you start to doubt mystic Gary?
