Happy to Marv move on tbh. His legs have gone and he rarely plays the ball forward, it is usually square or backwards. Another part of the much needed clear out at the gate.
please log in to view this image Will be gutted when he goes but it was always going to happen in the summer. Wish him all the best, despite what some people thought of him he always gave 100% when ever he put a city shirt on and hasn't got a bad word to say about this club. All the best marv
I agree with Shiny - Marv has been a model pro for us. I also agree that he's not the player he was (injuries have taken their toll) - the best way I can explain this is that when he first came to us, he would stick out a leg and just get there when you thought he wouldn't. Now he just doesn't get there. If he does move on I hope we all give him the respect he deserves - 218 City appearances - 6 years at the club
I've said he is like Bambi on ice paying, but would never criticise his commitment to the team when playing. So when we play Millwall next season in league 1, I will applaud him.
218 Apps 22 Goals. Been a good servant to this club and deserves a lot of respect. Think his best season with us was the 2010/11 season. Was quality that season and notched in 8 goals. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image

Reading them back it's quite embarrassing
A City legend ? Maybe, maybe not, but if he had pulled a rabbit out of the hat at Wembley there would have been a stand named after him Shiny - I was right about Coppell though. If only he'd stayed...
No way can he be considered a city legend, not in a million trillion years Good servant to the club and will be well remembered here in 5-10 years time but to put him in the same category as tinnion, carey, atyeo, merrick, galley??
Ill make sure my Grandsons know who he was! To be fair lan when we get old we wont be able to comment on what are legends now apart from Tinnion Carey and Murray. So our legends are playing at the moment and at the moment Marvin is up there. Along with Stead, Adomah, Basso, Maynard, Caulker and very soon JET
comment by BristolClashCityRocker (U14763480) posted Feb 9, 2011 Steve Galliers started off good, the dirtiest player we ever had, more than Robbie Turner. My current favourite is Nicky Hunt, as he's my idol, getting paid thousands for doing nothing, SC only signed him as he liked his little hairy asss in the shower! I had MassiveAttack banned a few times on the bbc, those mods were ****s, anyway Bristolclashcityrocker was a reincarnation - sorry to disappoint you in telling you it was moi.
There we go then ROD. I think I joined BBC about a year and a half before it closed. So not to familiar with names and that, just the regulars. Looking back on it im glad it closed and we moved here. You couldn't comment and you made a comment for 3 minutes it was open from 9am to 11pm then closed the rest, closed on Christmas I think as well. This site is so much easier
I knew it anyway just wanted to see if he would say I know Clash and Bloodhound gang are his favourites
well done Antknee, I also had BloodhoundGang but again banned for writing something like c u n t f a c e the bbc mods were a complete bunch of ****s
I wasn't on there, I was too shy and thought you would all flush my head down the toilet and give me Chinese burns. But I sort of guessed with the way the humour was
