The Chairboys welcome the Cumbrians to Adams Park for their 14th league game of the season, hoping to halt their slide down the table, as since going top 4 weeks ago the dip in form has been dramatic and the rot needs to be stopped in both results and performances, before the slide becomes an avalanche and the dip becomes a slump. Gaz will be hoping all his squad are early for the team meeting, as I hope there will be changes for this game with Pierre returning and Hayes starting up front with Wood on the left wing, O'Nien and Holloway dropping to the bench and Ugwu just being dropped, returning to the 4-4-2/4-4-1-1 formation that brought us success early in the season and what has happened to Danny Rowe who hasn't played since scoring three weeks ago? playing him as a holding midfielder would shore up our leaking defence bring him in for either Bean or in defence. I will be at AP for this one expecting a much improved performance to as of late, we may have lost against Plymouth and Northampton but at least we had some fight that has been missing since I want to see the lads giving it 100% then I'm sure we will collect all three points come on you blues
I think this game will tell us whether or not there is a problem brewing in the dressing room. I really hope not but when the team stops giving 100% something is wrong. The business of Pierre being dropped might run deeper than it would seem. Nothing would please me more than to see the Blues giving 100% tomorrow, win, lose or draw.
Finally it's clicked with Ainsworth 4-3-3 isn't working. Happy to see Hayes start up front with Thompson and with 2 wingers the latter won't be on the wing when he should be in the area. Hoping Lynch does well in goal maybe Ingram needs competion for his place not a bad thing imo.
Just come in. 70 mins against 10 men and still can't win (assuming we don't score). Are they giving 100%? What do their machines say
Absolute tosh...thankfully managed to get a point but no creativity in the centre of the park. Workrate and togetherness will only get you so far and maybe that is no longer working. Teams have us sussed, we need a couple of quality loans in midfield and we can still be in the upper reaches of the league. Without them bottom half.
Don't feel so bad about the Newport game after they put four past Rovers, lokks like Plymouth are going to be the team of the moment & we are still struggling to score at home.
So we hit the bar and had one cleared off the line . Sounds like we could have had all 3 points with a bit of luck.
Yes Ron apart from the sending off luck wasn't on our side again but it usually evens itself out we didn't play to badly just lacked creativity in the middle of the park
