I hoped Charlton wouldn't be promoted. I bet they'll be one of these anit-football teams in this division next season, as if we don't have enough of those.

If the two Sheffield clubs come up i'll be happy.

They'll bring more to the KC than Donny and it's two bigger ground sto go to.

Dont think Charlton are like that. Its Sheff Wed you wont like. All 6 foot odd, bruisers sling the ball in all the time. Awful to watch. Saying that if they do go up Dave Jones will try and change to more of a passing game. He's still got all Megsons team.

Charlton have been playing the best football in the league this season, at least that's the impression I got from the couple of games(and highlights) I've seen.

That's a good point actually, I forgot about the classic Megson tactics. I only say that about Charlton based on when we've played them in the past, and the fact they're dirty southerners!

I disagree with that as if you did watch Wednesday i think they play with two wingers and look to attack with width rather than necessary pre-concieved idea of what Gary Megson did. Thats another media myth that was created and believed.

Charlton from what i have seen are a decent side, just had to beat my second side Carlisle today. I think the top of League One is more than likely better than the bottom of our division, so it's only going to get tougher to win promotion.

The promoted L1 teams are all doing well in this division lately. Of the 6 that have come up in the last 2 years none have gone back down and 2 are looking like being in the PL.

So your telling me I'm wrong but you only think they play with 2 wingers? I've been to watch them a couple of times this season, as i have posted on here about it. I have also been to see Sheff U a couple of times and you could not get a greater contrast.
United play slick passing attacking football. Wednesday dont. This was under Megson when i went, so as i say Dave jones maybe trying to change them.
They are dreadful to watch. I went when Blackpool beat them in the Cup and fans were streaming out after 45 minutes as they were saying Megson wont change and he didnt. Corners long throws elbows flying it was terrible.

To be fair i admit i have only seen them play three or four times so far this year, i just don't think there is such a thing as bad football, Megson was doing a good job for what i saw, and from what i saw he WAS not playing 'hoof ball' or whatever the media want to describe them as. Yet on that subject i would quite happily endure Megson style tactics if it had got us to the position he had Sheff Wed in, to many people believe stereotypical media rubbish, its the same with Big Sam. He has not told them West Ham players to launch it long this season at all, yet the media and fans just believe the hype around him. Sheffield Utd where Europe's third top scorers so i think most thought that they where good to watch, yet from what i have seen there nothing different to anythink else in the division really just have someone whose going to score goals to get them promoted.

Shame really that Donny have gone down, for the past few seasons now, they have played some great football and the season we came down, they finished 8th. Sure they will get in the play offs ore close to the play offs next season. With Dean Saunders there he will get the best out of the players.

As for Charlton, will bring someting different to The Championship next season, but will struggle, as their man goal source is Bradley Wright - Phillips. I personall think, a bigger club than Charlton will but a good offer in for him in the summer, which Charlton won't be able to reject.

I can't agree about West Ham I'm afraid. Yes there are some media images which get exaggerated (my favourite being the classic "Lampard and Gerrard can't play together) but Allardyce is a disgrace in my opininon, his teams, particularly West Ham, are just horrible to watch and they spoil good matches. With the resources he has at his disposal he really should be producing a team that can pass the likes of us off the park, but when we played them all the football was played by us.
