where has he disappeared to?? I don't remember him leaving and surely he should have stepped in when Reina was injured, not Jones?
I just found answers. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2225189/Alexander-Doni-returns-Liverpool.html
He may be back, but why is he so invisible? The Kop/Liverpoolfc website recently posed the same question: Regarding Alex. Doni Plenty of fans agree that, Brad Jones has improved a lot, & we're happy to have a solid back-up for pepe Reina... However one cannot not notice the exclusion of Alexander Doni. Doni has been by far the better keeper (after Reina) & this term he isn't even being named on the bench... Even in a league cup tie, against West Brom, he wasn't even on the bench. Alex Doni & Brad Jones are more or less of the same age, however Doni comes from AS. Roma & has got champions league experience as well as international experience with Brazil, while Brad Jones has no champions league experience & his much less international experience is with Australia, which makes a lot of difference. Such a keeper (as Doni) no one would keep out of a team - at least on the bench. I'm not the only person calling for Doni to play some games, as I've seen comments on the articles on the website (Liverpoolfc.com) from people asking about him. However what angers most supporters is the fact the Brendan Rodgers - in whom we trust - is not only ignoring these fans, but doesn't even come out & explain. We as supporters have the right to know about our players, & Brendan Rodgers has now a DUTY to come out & explain why Alexander Doni is being completely left out of the squads. One have to remember that Doni was also left out of the pre-season tour of America & the other friendlies. We fans now DEMAND an explanation as to why Doni is being left out, & if Doni is not in Brendan Rodgers' plans - why. Brad Jones has improved a great lot, however Doni remains a better keeper overall & it's very clear that age is not an issue as they are both in their 30's. I expect an answer on Liverpoolfc.com in the form of an article for all to see, explaining what's with Alexander Doni & why is he being left out of the team. If we lose this goalkeeper in January it will be another big loss for our club & another statement of how unserious the club is. - An explanation is a definite must and the VERY least we expect. GKRK
He went back to Brazil for family reasons but I ams sure I saw a story about a month ago saying he was on his way back but havent seen anything since then.
He's a fictional character invented by FSG so that it looks like we have more Brazilians on the books.
We dont have any rights to know these things. It didnt exactly causes any damage to performances. Doni DOES have the right to privacy.
The club granted him leave because of family issues. As jkielq91 says, he does have a right to privacy. So, no Doni unless or until we hear otherwise.
