    I don't trust it.

    Newcastle United v Huddersfield Town
    Newcastle United v Southampton
Newcastle United v West Bromwich Albion

HUGE GAMES! 3 more wins should do us, but if we fail to win these games Everton, Watford and Leicester take on huge significance. Bar that we are begging to sneak points off the top 6 teams.

Also just skimming through that article, Goal scorers - all the teams in the bottom 10 bar Brighton (Glenn Murray - 10) have top scorers still in single digits.

Must be a priority over summer to break the bank and sign a PROVEN goal scorer. If we had a striker scoring 10-15 goals or more this year we would probably be safe mid table by now.

We must win them. Anything less than 9 points and it’s good night to the PL. I reckon we will do it though.

Chelsea at home last game of the season is a banker I tell you. If you told me now we needed to get a point from that to survive I'd take it. I think we'll win it and jump from around 16th to 12th in the process.

Even 5 points from those would have us on 34. It's hard to see us needing more than 37 in total.

You reckon? Perhaps I’m just overly pessimistic! I’m spending too much time on the Sunderland board!!! Survival this season will be massive. I reckon we could kick on in a big way next season. Anyway it’s my birthday during the Southampton game and I’m going. I expect positivity otherwise im hitting Za Za Bazaar hard afterwards <laugh>

I'd take 6/7 points from those and then look for the extra point or two from someone like Everton or Watford or even as Haslam says some of the top teams won't have to much left to play for but anything less than 6 points from those 3 and its squeaky bum time.

For all I've slated Rafa and his tactics this season he did well in our last run in when our backs were against the wall last relegation but it wasn't to be so I'd be hopefully he can do it again and drag us just above 18th. We seem to have good team spirit and everyone pulling in the same direction which could be the difference.

Yeah I think it's easy to forget that whilst teams like Huddersfield and Southampton at home may be easier games on paper than others we have they will be fighting hard against relegation too whereas the Everton/Leicester/Watford games we may need results more than they do - it does matter.

Hope you're both right! We need something good to happen to our club. I’m sick of the perpetual crap!
