qpr send respect to don revie who tragicall died young he was only 61 years of age,but he never the less stands in the football hall of fame as one of the top five managers ever in the history of football top five of greatest ever managers is as below

    number one ...................................bill shankly
    number two,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,alex fergusion
    number three,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,don revie
    number four.....................................brian clough
    number five,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,matt busby

so there it is folks don revie is officially the third greatest ever manager of all time, not one london manager can feature in this massively scottish dominated imagine if all these guys were now youngsters in the current prem, certanly leeds undedr revie would be a top four side at the very least

so rest in peace don you were respected not only by your own fans but also by millions of londoners
we were all in awe of your brilliance

    Ted
Cut out all the London loves us bollocks or you aint going to last very long on here.

Even though I wouldn't give him the steam off my ****e Fergie turned out to be the best UK manager of all time ..... by miles
Second is Bob Paisley a man you didn't even mention
    Third Shankly
Fourth and this will be controvertial ... Brian Clough (two European cups and league titles with Derby and Forest
Fifth equal The Don and Wenger

Busby if he had been any good would have won far more with the players he had, and singularly failed to manage George Best properly.

I wouldnt include Fergie at all. His reign for most years was based on a cheque book policy of being able to always buy the best players and pay top wages leaving the rest of the pl to scrap over what was left. He also signed loads of **** but because money was never an issue, he could offload them virtually unnoticed. I would have the Don in the top three and its an interesting topic for debate

The counter argument would be that Moyes and the dutch maestro seem to have found it harder than you think it should be............... I am sure we are all gutted about it. <party><party><party>

All great man managers. Unable to pick any one as best but to me Revie was a God. If I could pick one to manage our present team I would go for Clough. He could get players to play above themselves I.E. John McGovern he would not have got a place jn the Leeds team but he was great for Clough.

Most likely because they no longer have first pick on players and are now stuck with grossly overpaid prima donnas ie Rooney Shwineywhateverhisname is. A wage structure that was let run riot under Fergie when he should have showed Rooney the door. Must admit, Scum and Chelskis plight bring a smile to my face daily

Sorry i have to disagree, in what sense was Busby a great man manager?
Under even a competent man manager Best would have been playing for another ten years and not pissing up the wall. Ahh well never mind.

Herbert Chapman was certainly in the top 5.Fergie has got there by having bought the best players and so its not a fair playing field .Chapman got the title 5 years in succession with 2 different clubs and a wage cap to boot
It will not be long before Eddie Howe is on the list

Busby, Shankly, Clough, Allison, Mercer, Ramsey, Stein, Nicholson, Robson, Fergusson, Jackett & Paisley are all way way above Revie imo <ok>

To be fair Jackoff is a legend..
Fecked you up, burst the lifejackets, sawed the oars in half and then jumped ship. <applause><applause><applause><applause><applause><applause><applause><applause><applause><applause><applause>

Indeed - maybe I should add O'Leary to that list - as Jackett didn't spend £100 million on new players in less than four years <applause>

Yeah you would. Because you are getting all the same pain but with none of the pleasure.
