Yes, Don Givens. Our best goalscorer from ”golden era” with 76 league goals on his belt in 242 league matches 1972-1978. Yesterday we had players from our 1975-1976 season, but didnt saw Givens in there. In recent years 2000-2025 we have many get to togethers in LR with all our legends. Don never seems to be there. Why? Is he pissed with QPR or is QPR pissed with him???

I heard only last week that he is suffering from dementia and is quite ill. Just something I heard so don't take it as gospel.
Don is one of my favourite players of all time, loved watching him play and of course score.
Always felt he lived a bit in Stan's shadow.

I have asked my nephew in Dublin to check out this, he reports thar Don had a birthday recently and there was no mention of dementia.
Hopefully Don is well
