He should be played ahead of Sturridge imo. On the weekend, what was the point of Sturridge playing and what did it achieve? He has zero pace, zero effort and looks like he doesnt give a sh!t. Solanke should have these chances to develop and cant be any worse than Sturridge.

IMO this is just mischief from outside the club.

we've shown the guy great commitment by sending origi off on loan and moving him up from u23s to seniors and giving him some game time here.

its too soon to be sent off on loan. He's doing an ok job here.

    You wanna know?

ok steve bruce the ex utd twat and current manager of villa has gaciously taken time out of his busy schedule to lambast LFC over the guy just making his break through when cheslea were doing nothing for him.... cos southgate picked him for england.

LUDICROUS is what i'd call the entire article.

So Villa want to loan him? But Bruce wants to agitate Solanke into making the first move then, in case LFC turn him down straight away.

Agreed. Studge is the past it Chelsea reject, Salah the current Chelsea reject and Solanke / Brewster are the future Chelsea rejects!

Nope. He chose to leave City whilst still very young but didn't get alook in at Chelsea despite having proved himself at Bolton.

He should be playing ahead of Studge who hasn't performed when given a chance.

anyone thinking he was going to step up is in lala land.

Liverpool are fighting for a top 4 spot at the table and the competition is tough. From thinking solanke who has had no PL games and played in an U21 tournament was just going to walk into a centre forward rotation spot is ludicrous. I'm surprised he's even had any time and to his credit klopp has thrown him on when the game has been on the line to see if he can pop up with the winning goal a number of times where he hasn't delivered.

I'm not sure we're going to see much more of him imo as i don't see him taking firmino who is number 1, sturridge who is number 2 and arguably i think klopp would start with Salah or Mane or even Lallana in a false 9 before he chucks solanke in there

Best thing for him is to actually go to a smaller club who play a similar style (or not) who will give him 90 minutes so he can improve.

Would he get that at Palace? Even abroad.

I disagree and feel that you need to give these lads game time, if we're winning a game and we need fresh legs give them 10 mins, if it's comfortable then give them 20 mins. We gain nothing from playing Sturridge who is clearly done whereas we would give Solanke experience by giving him game time. Same with Woodburn, he's got the quality but needs some game time.

I understand how this is a bit alien to you. <whistle>

You've been playing too much championship manager haven't you :p.

ideally that's what you would do but with your defence how often have you ever felt you've been comfortable and/or had a comfortable lead. In all seriousness, when you are winning i see Klopp bringing on players to either defend a lead or to help keep possession.

Sure, if you're comfortable go for it, but i just don't see Klopp bringing in Solanke for fresh legs to see a game out imo. He's under pressure this year to maintain top 4. If this was his first year he could probably take that long term view but if he doesn't get top 4 this season, i can see him leaving.

I'm not saying bring sturridge on or that he's better (he looks shot) but at the moment Klopp is favouring him as a sub and as a starter so its a fact that his your 2nd striker and not solanke.

Solanke should definitely stay if you're manager @luvgonzo

I agree about the comfortable bit and considered that when typing my response and I agree that Solanke should not be starting. I also standby my initial point.
We could have started Firmino against you lot and let him put a shift in for an hour and then played Solanke, he certainly has a good work rate so why not? Starting Studge did us no favours so give the lad a go.

To be honest, I really don’t see Solanke making it. Granted, he had a positive pre season but this kid needs to play games to develop. He won’t get that here.

I still hold hope for Origi using this tine at Wolfsburg to develop and find that form before his injury.

Studge needs ****ing off and as done for two seasons.

He was good because he had superb acceleration and speed, he's since lost both. If you don't offer those two qualities, you need to give the team other qualities. Being able to finish alone isn't enough nowadays

Studge in a two is still a frightening prospect. The problem is that the system isn’t suited to him as he can’t play as a lone striker.
