It cemented it for me again today, our need for a striker. Suarez played great, as did Enrique and a couple others. Dominated for the most part today but couldn't score, despite great chances. Our run is good, but **** all points from it.

Poor game from us. No ****ing nerve. Look at Uniteds dross team and yet they have the winning mentality that means even ****ing Evans and co can turn matches around for them.

The result today was a fair one for both teams. We desperately need someone to help Suarez. Although we had our chances, notably Sterlings shot off the bar and a better ball would have put Suarez through on goal.

Yeah its the same we talk about every week.

    Not enough cutting edge.

This won't change until we invest.

We just need to hold on and get what we can until January.

At least our defence has tightened up.

I know. And it's sort of a side effect of how **** a position we are in- the fact we are relying on a ****ing 17 year old for the bulk of our goals. ****ing owners need to get their ****ing wallets out instead of living in lala land thinking that ffs will actually be ****ing enforced.

  7. I actually thought Suarez passed it too early, he should have held on to it and played Sterling in but he passed it early knowing he would then get it back again. Sterling's pass (if you can call it that) was far too heavy but Suarez still made room for the shot.

What annoyed me most about that chance was that both Suarez and Sterling ran straight down the middle, no more than ten yards apart, making it very narrow. Whoever has not got the ball should be playing five yards wider, this gives the player with the ball better options. If the ball is played then the other player has more room. If the defender stays central then it gives the player on the ball more room. Basically, it spreads the plays and creates more space to take advantage!

Well, I saw it differently :D
Thought the pass to Sterling was fine, he had the pace to drag the defender wide but didn't do that and his pass wasn't good enough either. Just not experienced enough to be starting week in, week out. It says alot that we have to rely on him so much because there's no one better. It's not Sterling's fault entirely, but he needs to learn fast if we're gonna keep on playing him - or buy someone in January.

  9. I wasn't disagreeing and I'm not saying it was either ones fault, more of a joint effort <laugh>

I just think that Suarez should have kept the ball for another two or three yards, maybe more wider with the ball too before playing Sterling in. Once Sterling has the space and is baring down on goal no one is going to catch him. Raheem knows where the goal is too, plus he could do with the goal scoring boost <ok> (not that we should be thinking about that at 0-0)

I always felt confident that we would draw today, and we played well for 60 minutes, but after that we never really built on that and while a draw was a fair result, if anyone was going to win, it was Swansea

I was disappointed in BR's substitutions. They were reactive rather than proactive, which is a shame because in the past two games he has made proactive changes.

The shelvey change was obvious but about 10 mins too late as Swansea had already stepped up a gear by then, and as for Joe cole instead of Suso or Assaidi, I can't help but feel that that was done with one eye on saving players for Spurs, and he only made two subs.

The way I see it, you only avoid making subs if you're confident that the XI on the pitch can get the job done, and unless the job was to get a draw, this wasn't the case.

  12. Being confident of getting the result and actually getting it are two different things. Hindsight is wonderful and all that...<ok>

Lost 2-1 to spurs. Exactly the same again, thought we dominated them completely, other than Bale for 5 minutes. There goes the 'good' run.

  15. I don't think we dominated the game. We had chances to score a few but so did they, the only difference is they took two of theirs and we didn't take any!

Ridiculously clear cut chances though. Clearing off the line, open goals. Its getting to be a joke now

  17. Chances are chances, you either take them or you don't. We all too often don't! I'm not even that bothered about this loss because I was expecting exactly what happened, still hurts to lose mind <ok>

Loaning out Carroll without bringing in a replacement has been the story of our season.... Many games we should haved turned draws to wins. And today we should have been able to turn a loss to a draw at least.

Entertaining match but we failed to put away the 'easy' chances and the half ones. I think we could have got a couple of penalties though but never mind.

Midfield is far too weak and lacks composure. The British midfield trio doesn't really inspire me at all.

Enrique and Suarez have a brilliant understanding with one another and I look forward to seeing it develop. It's also nice to see Johnson on the right because he can put some decent balls in. Also, I rather use Jack Robinson than Downing at left back in future.

Sorry RedBrynner, no chance Carroll would help. He can't cut it at ****ing west ham and they play everything to him in his style. He will not be out number 9 and unfortunately we blew a massive chunk of the torres money on him. Typical of us really.
