it wouldn't be us if we did things the simple way, would it! Yesterdays draw wasn't a total surprise to be honest but it was a great bonus to see Barnet drop 2 points also. Grimsby have come good at the right time (from their point of view ) and its going to be a tense and interesting run in. Personally I've resigned myself to looking forward to a fantastic day out at Wembley on 17th April when 40,000 gasheads see the boys over the line and into league 2. If we make the final, there is absolutely no way we will lose, whoever we play and the only way this dream of mine can be scuppered is if we actually finish as champions which wouldn't be so bad either! Sounds like a win/win really!

We have had a problem scoring enough goals ever since Lambert scored. Can't recall us having a decent goal difference since the time Lambo scored 29 for us?

Dont mean to be negative but if we do go up, can you see the likes of Taylor, Harrison and Blissett terrorising league 2? Easter should be ok but the others??

I know I keep banging on about this, but the calls for a winger and a striker have been answered twice over and we still cant put the ball in the net. I was hoping that the introduction of these more experienced players might improve our tactics in the final third. We are still banging the ball across the box via the aerial route and cannot seem to work the ball into good scoring positions on the ground.
I haven't seen much of Barnet's play, but the number of offsides for and against and the penalty count indicate that they play high up the pitch pushing the ball through the defensive line. It's pretty obvious that you can't get a penalty unless you're in the box and it's far more likely that defenders are going to commit a foul if the attacker is playing the ball past them on the floor. Hence also the number of 10 man games Barnet have played in.
On Saturday we had a decent amount of possession, but even when both teams were going for the maximum points towards the end of the game, our forwards during the breakaways were totally inept at making space and passing the ball.
Hit and hope high crosses across the box ain't the best way to go about it when the forwards on the receiving end are a foot shorter than the defenders marking them.
    Just my opinion!

Barnet's goal difference has been inflated by the goals they've scored against ten men. It's going to be a nervous few weeks. But our lads know they have to fight to win every game, so they will be right up for it. The pressure's probably more on Barnet and Grimsby now. I still think we can win the league, but Grimsby need to slip up.And I think Barnet will drop points.

It's a great end to the season, but the nerves will be jangling right to the end. I was worried we might have a season like Torquay's, but credit to DC and the lads for hanging on in there with a real chance.
